I've been meaning to see City of God for a long, long time, but still haven't. ******** me.
Saw Beerfest today, (SirManc punches a hole in his wall) decent movie, not as funny as Super Troopers but still better than Club Dread. I've spent a worse 5 bucks.

Also, for those who like the bands wilco and/or radiohead, I was wondering if anyone has seen the films that feature these bands. "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" is a film about wilco, which follows the band as they make their excellent album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. It's fairly straightforward stuff, but if you're a fan of wilco it's definately worth checking out. The other is "Meeting People is Easy" which is a film about Radiohead. Definately not straightforward, it follows the band on their tour following the release of their album OK Computer. (If you don't like or at least respect this album, just shoot yourself in the face, because you're worthless) It is definately a unique film, it tries to be very modern artsy, and isn't a concert film by any strech. It mostly is the band dealing with the other things you have to go through with being a very popular band with a very, very good album. There is concert footage mind you, but most of the songs are not shown in full and some are shown more than once. The first time I saw it, frankly I thought it was trying too hard to be different and dramatic, etc, but still thought it was a neat film. I've watched it two or three times since then and every time I see it I like it even more. Now it's one of my favs. It may not be your cup of tea, but then again it just might be, you won't know till you see it. I highly recommend you at least watch it. It is a very unique film and is worth a look see, especially if you're a fan of radiohead.

Was that the fat kid from Kenan and Kel off nickelodeon at the start of that clip? I'll be big enough to admit that I used to watch that shit right up to the age of 19 or 20. :o

"Everybody out there go run and tell your homeboys or homegirls it's time for Kenan and Kel,
They keep you laughing in the afternoon so don't touch that dial or leave the room."

TV gold. :D

Yes indeed! I fell in love with Orange soda because of that show. All That was great with that fat girl who was also in the Steve Harvey show and Amanda Bynes who's got her own show now on WB. Good stuff! Goodburger was a great movie. :D
Keenan and Kel=LEGENDS!

no, why would it? It's a brilliant movie and probably the best movie you've seen in years.

You know, not every non-action film is a chick flick. It only appears slow because you're probably not used to dialogue-oriented films. The plot structure works very well which is why the movie went very fast for me, I was hooked every second and wasn't slow at all. But to each their own.

And yes, I do assume everyone watches terrible movies but me. :p (especially that preppie OC kid here)

I watched "Brick" the other night. Wow, it was some movie. The ending pretty much made it, because up until that point I thought it was some try hard pretentious indie flick, but no, after the movie ended that completely changed. I thought it was brilliant.

To be honest, no i really haven't. My biggest problem is that I never know which ones to watch, and I don't have much time to watch movies. Especially this summer. I've been so busy.

I never thought of the film to be some pompus indy film, because I knew what it was doing from beginning to end. It's a film noir set in modern day California High School. (I had the same idea years ago by the way, way before this film was released)

Anyway you should check out films like The Killing, The Maltese Falcon, The Lady from Shanghai, Touch of Evil, The Third Man, The Big Sleep, and Double Indemnity off the top of my head. All fantastic. You can always do your research on it, read reviews and watch some of the better reviewed or higher acclaimed ones. If you have Turner Classic Movies channel, that shows a lot of these great movies, also you can also always check in with me.

"I Am Trying to Break Your Heart"
"Meeting People is Easy"

So has anyone seen either of these films? I'm eager to hear what other people think of them.
