If I wasn't on a self-imposed joke ban I would make a comment about how some of those movies on my list are foreign, at least to me. Maybe next week.

Two foreign movies that I think of right away are "All About My Mother" and "Amores Perros". The only discouraging thing about "Amores Perros" is that I'm beginning to feel that the director is a one-trick pony.

I'll be able to put more thought into this on Monday when I get back to work.

By the way, the wife and I are going to check out "The Descent" tomorrow afternoon.

ooh I can't wait for the reaction, I just saw it on Friday again, still brilliant, but the ending was changed for the U.S. release because the original was too thought provoking. I'll let you know what it was after you get back to me. Enjoy.

One of my favorite movie series. Next Friday is the best and I hear they are coming out with another one with everyone in it.

We saw "The Descent" and were both very impressed. The tension was unbelievable even before you-know-what happens. We both left the theater very pleased. Thanks to you and Billy for turning us on to that. You both have a little present coming your way.

I'm happy you liked it. If you want to knwo the original ending, I'll PM you, I think somebody also posted the video for it around here somewhere.

Is it sodomy? Because if it is, I'm not going down that narrow, sticky road again.

I followed the link. I'm not really sure what either ending really means. Doesn't really take away from the movie, though.

Just trying to see if you having a general hatred of "stupid-funny" movies.

Also, "Talledega Nights" has the guy who plays Ali G in it. I saw a few of his scenes and it was pretty damn funny.

Alright so I saw this last night, and liked it for the most part. Yeah, there were quite a few dumb scenes, but I like that it essentially made fun of so many groups--NASCAR, gays, homophobes, the French, the Americans, southern Americans, corporate sponsorship, trophy wives, unruly kids, deadbeat dads, and sticks it all into a neat little package. And Will Ferrell wasn't even close to the highlight of the movie... if anything, he was fairly average. The best bits undoubtedly belonged to Sacha Baron Cohen and Gary Cole. Oh and John C. O'Reilly with his "Playgirl confession". :D

I saw You, Me and Dupree last night. It was pretty good. Nice situational humour and a fairly entertaining if slightly predictable plot. I laughed alot.

Watched "Shaun of the Dead" again the other day, and again a couple of days later. Very funny movie, imo. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it. One of my favs.

I saw that too the other night. One of the funnier movies I've seen recently. There were definitely some parts that had me rolling out of the seat.

I think so. I remember seeing it somewhere and I'm pretty sure it was from the Far Side. It definately seems like Gary Larson's type of humor.
