Depends. If you like Will Ferrell movies, I'm sure this will be more of the same. I think its safe to assume that you don't though.

You just said it's safe to assume that it's more of the same, which I agree with, and considering that I think his other stuff is bad, then logically this will be the same. Therfore I know.

It's got potential to be good...another Anchorman.

Um... yes?

FWIW, I think most of Ferrell's stuff has been hit-or-miss. I'll probably check this one out eventually, but not opening weekend or anything.

Which is why I'll avoid it like the plague...

Will Ferrell + NASCAR = Horrible The only thing that could make it worse in my opinion is if Ferrell plays golf in it...

It didn't have Will Ferrel or Nascar in it and I like Sandler he's actually funny..

I actually want to go watch Talledega Nights just because I need a minor laugh at the movies this summer. There hasn't been anything funny that I've watched at the big screen so far these past few months. Last summer had Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year Old Virgin (I found both to be very funny). I'm not obsessed about films like Talladega Nights, nor do I really enjoy them. I like movies more along the lines of what SirManc enjoys, but not to the same degree, nor am I as serious. I can keep my mind open to half-assed movies that the critics hate and still be able to enjoy them...sometimes. That said, I think it will be an okay movie.

Just trying to see if you having a general hatred of "stupid-funny" movies.

Also, "Talledega Nights" has the guy who plays Ali G in it. I saw a few of his scenes and it was pretty damn funny.

First of all, not all critics are right, and it's not a good idea to follow what they say all the time, but they know good movies from bad movies, and there's a reason respected critics (and I say respected because most of them nowadays are uneducated halfwits who think they know what they're talking about) tag movies as bad.

I don't know how you compare The Wedding Crashers to The 40 year old Virgin, they're two very different comedies, the former was actually worth watching and it had its funny moments, as opposed to the latter in which a storyline and characters were written around insanely stupid humour. Anyway, there's not much good in theaters out nowadays.

Anybody seen Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers? I watched it again last night, ********ing love it.

Just to give you my opinion on the movies Hollywood has been producing the last couple of years.. The last 2 movies I've seen in the theater are Wedding Crashers and the last Star Wars ( I had to see this since I grew up watching the originals)..

I refuse to pay money for the same unimaginative regurgitated bullshit that is out these days...

I like "stupid-funny" movies I just think Will Ferrel is a humorless moron.. Did you see Elf? I wanted to claw my eyeballs out while watching it.. I was begging for it to stop... That's the same way I felt when I saw Anchorman..

The only thing Will Ferrel has going for himself is a goofy figure and face, and that's not even a talent.

Eva Green was one of my choices in the draft.

Oh I know, she would have been one of mine if you hadn't picked her. She's foxy, and she has amazingly natural melons.

I'm not sure that they can be amazingly natural as they are either natural or not. However, they could be, and are, naturally amazing.

I'm pretty sure they're real. She doesn't strike me as the kind of broad who's gotten enhancments, she hasn't been in Hollywood that long.

Imho that's the same way I feel about Jim Carrey.. They're 2 guys that when they appear in a movie I get angry looking at them.. Renee Zellweger is the only actress I can claim does that to me...
