A Clockwork Orange? I know its always on top 5 best movie ever lists, but I wanna know what the average person thinks of it. I'm sure its a great movie and I'm gunna rent it regardless, but I just wanna know...is it actually one of the best films like every critic preaches?

When you watch it, you have to keep in mind that it was made in the 60's and in that period it was well ahead its time. Ok my little droogie.

********ing brilliant! Nevermind the fact that Stanley Kubrick directed it, it's fantastic, everyone should see it.

"A Clockwork Orange" is a must see even if it isn't one of the top movies of all time, which in my opinion it is not. Certain movies are cultural touchstones that any person serious about cinema must see. "A Clockwork Orange" is one of those movies.

Well, it's certainly not as good as Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded, which are in the top movies of all time, but you said it well, it's a must see no matter what.

I won't say anything about "Herbie: Fully Loaded" as I didn't see it. "Mean Girls" began as a sharp satire of high school and then lost its nerve. It was like it started off as "Election" and ended as "Never Been Kissed". However, any movie featuring Tina Fey in her bra earns some goodwill from me. The movie also made Tim Meadows seem funny, which I had thought was impossible.

I'll say something about both movies, they're shit. They're both shit. Fin.

Anyway, when are you planning on seeing The Descent? It's coming out the sixth, you should take the wife.

Even if I wanted to see "The Descent", which I don't, I don't think that I would be able to convince the wife that it is worth the money. We've recently, through NetFlix, seen "Saw", "Saw II" and "Hostel". All were very underwhelming. I'll wait until "The Descent" is on cable. In the meantime, I'm trying to trick my wife into seeing "A Scanner Darkly". Unfortunately, she hates rotoscoping.

Should we tell him now that it's not a documentary?

He told me that he can't wait for the sequel, "Darlington Days".

I wouldn't want to dis appoint him.. He PMed me before to tell me he's combed his mullet and has his beer helmet stocked and cooling in the fridge, plus he may wear a clean wife beater for this momentous occasion..

*sigh* I knew the stupid American marketing department would screw this up. Don't buy any of the "from the makers of SAW and HOSTEL" crap. It's not anything like those two movies, they're just mentioned to attract the stupid audiences that enjoyed those two movies because The Descent is unknown. Believe me, it's a quality horror film, the tv spots and trailers you may have seen here don't do it any justice. If I would compare it to any movie I would say "The Shining", "Deliverance" and "Alien/Aliens".

But anyway, your choice really, I mean it'll be the only movie worth watching at that point in theaters. I just want you to know it's not anything like the movies it's compared to in the tv spots.

But will his girlfriend comb her mullet?

My wife loves good suspense movies. I'm going to take your recommendation under advisement. This may turn out to be a test case as to whether or not I can trust your movie choices.

Depends. If you like Will Ferrell movies, I'm sure this will be more of the same. I think its safe to assume that you don't though.

I read that some people walked out of "Talledega Nights" because they couldn't get the audio on their headphones with the built-in tuner.
