Just started re-watching "Band of Brothers". Easily one of the best, if not THE best, WWII epics ever made.
If you haven't seen it, go out and rent it today!
ditto, watched it last summer on demand, one episode every night, it was great, just great!

agree... one of the best mini-series I've ever seen period. Fantabulous... I watched it one disc a night about 6 months ago. And when I was done I watched them over again... really top class stuff...
I just saw Freedomland last night. I enjoyed it. Nice symbolism and GREAT casting. Samuel Jackson was already up there in my favorite actors list, he just jumped up another rung.

Saw Elephant last night, which was pretty good; smartly shot, but nothign incredible. After that I saw Match Point, which was very well written imo - great twist at the end.

If you haven't seen it, go out and rent it today!Damn what a great mini series... That's one of those shows that, as you're watching the 3rd-to-last-episode, you start thinking, "I don't want this to end!" and you start getting pissed that it's ending so soon lol

Yep, Elephant was a good idea, well thought out and there's a great atmosphere surrounding the film and you can feel the tension from beginning to end.
Match Point was brilliant, one of my favorite movies of this century so far, and an incredible performance by the main character. Woody Allen's next movie looks just as tasty.

Quick fact for those who have access to it via DVD or something...
Jimmy Fallon is the dude who brings ammo on the jeep at the end of Episode 5 - Crossroads. I heard a rumor about it and just finished watching that episode. Hard to see him play a role that doesn't make me want to crush his head [/obscure Kids in the Hall reference]

I just watched it last night. It was an intriguing movie. I wasn't too sure about it from the off, but I slowly felt myself becoming more and more capsulated into the storyline. Woody Allen is a terrific writer and director, I've always liked his movies, and the acting in it is first rate. Scarlett Johansson is terrific. It's a very interesting movie to say the least. Definitely good and quite tragic IMO.

To anyone who has seen it; Garden State? Do you like it or not. Personally I love the film to death, I bought it right after watching it and I have seen it countless times since. I just love everything about the film, except maybe the hotel part with the hookers, the whole peeping tom scene just didn't need to be in there, but it was kind of funny if I'm telling the truth. Anyways Zach Braff has a new film coming out called "The Last Kiss" and do not let the name or Rachel Bilson put you off, it seems like a promising movie.

I liked it very much, I was turned off by it at first, and waited for it to come to tv, but once I started I was drawn right in. One thing I admire about a good filmmaker is his use of music, and Braff seems to be master this (He does the same for Scrubs). That couch scene to Zero 7's "In the waiting Line" was just fantastic.
Overall great characters, silently funny at times, tragic at others, Braff showed his true auteur's touch with this one. I expect bigger things from him.
