Sorry if this is old news...
Just clicked on the link off the ArseAm homepage, to see that there's now an Arsenal Canada. Is their status official, and does that now mean that ArseAm is only the supporters club for the USA?
What the ******** have those crazy Canucks gone and done?
No offense/offence to my children's babysitter (from Vancouver), but IMHO they can have their own supporters club. Until we invade.

Okay, I'm sorry :o , but is there an old link that discusses this? What is the status of that group and how does it affect our status as the official supporters group of North America.

There is but it's probably a few months old. I think most of us pretty a bit ticked off about these guys not even having bothered to have the courtesy to run this by ArseAm. It doesn't affect our status and members from Canada who joined the American club stay with the club but any Canadian supporter will have to join the Canadian club from now on.

Pretty much the story-original Canadian ArseAm'ers got to choose which supporters club they wanted to be in........it was pretty ************ how it all came about since a group of supporters from Canada went directly to the club (and the club knowing of our existance) gave them the Canada Supporters Club and told ArseAm that from now on Canadian folks had to be in the Canadian Supporters club.......

Yeah, the club felt that it was better to have two separate clubs, and that those Canadians who are members of Arsenal America currently can choose to stay with us if they so choose, or hook up with Arsenal Canada. It was kinda shady, but we've all moved on.

Wow, I had no idea. Those xxxxxxx Canucks! ;)
Well, shouldn't our site say that we're the official supporters club of the USA? Shouldn't we get a new ArseAm flag, one without that silly maple leaf?
BTW, since Rick loves the stuff, upstate NY maple syrup (and surely that of Vermont) is vastly superior to that made in Canada. :p

Agreed on all three points. First priority is to get regionalized banners made, then get a new national banner. The current banner is going to be retired soon.

They are entitled to their club and they do not need our permission. Would have been a bit friendlier if they'd mentioned it to us first, but what can ya do?
....to the tune of "We've got Dennis Bergkamp!"
We've got Rickyyyy (name removed)!

Retired? Where!!!! I spent a lot of effort getting that thing signed!! Thats the one that I want to be coming over for the roadtrips as it was Canadians that helped get it signed and people like Bob Hobbs have attended every single roadtrip. Thats why you cheapskates wouldn't call me back for the conferance call - you knew I'd disagree about stuff like this!!!;) :D

Well, the concern is that the signatures will wear off if the banner sees too much action. It would still come out for special occassions.

I'll say one thing. (And Judy and 24 others can back me up)
It poured with rain at Ritzing in Austria in the first half, the banner was absolutley soaked, yet not a single signiture ran or was worn as I used a waterproof permament marker pen. I'm not an amateur at this!!!!!!

Romeo, I've had maple syrup from small places in Quebec, Vermont and NY, and by far my favorite is from the one in Vermont.

It depends how you have it. You're suppose to pour it all over a Montreal stripper & lick it off.
And I know our strippers taste better than yours!:D :p

I vote for keeping the national banner as it has plenty of history now. And as Rick said, it was Bob and Romeo who did a lot of work getting it signed. Just because some others formed their own club is no reason to throw out the banner, IMHO. Our regional banners will be good for local meets and trips as well.

I'd have said Toronto :o (and I won't admit to a thing!), but point well taken.
