Hello there, I'm new here. I've been checking out the posts lately and enjoying the discussions. I never knew there were so many footy fans, nevermind Arsenal fans in the US. Well to my title topic. I've noticed a lot of disgruntled writers/fans out there. But isn't a season where you feel that every game is important and going to WB isn't a walk in the park anymore, exciting? The satisfaction of listening to the radio for a positive scoreline and only getting tense for ManU games no longer exists. Every game is important, the complacent fan no longer wears the red and white. And apart from Chelsea, there is no complacent fan in the league anymore. Whether it's a bottom 3 or a top 3, everyone goes into the game uncertain of the outcome. At least that's how it was in the 80s and early 90s. And if it weren't for Chelsea, this could be considered as the best season ever. I mean when was the last time both Arsenal and Spurs even the media more excited about the N.London derby than ManU Arse? Well this year that will be the case. And I can't wait. I mean we'll be going to the Bernabau not knowing if we'll be thrashed or come out triumphant. That's exciting. And being able to mouth off with spurs fans and seeing their joy of having bragging rights for the 1st time in 10yrs puts the rivlarly back to the Good Ol' Days. Well nuff from me. Just enjoy going to the games and being tense for 90mins (and extra time minutes these days). Look at Chelsea, the used to have such a hardcore fan base. Now they don't fill CL games. We don't want that. ManU at one point had so many band hoppers, that going to Old Trafford was tougher than Van Lister.. scoring from outside the box. We don't want that either. Go Goons. Tell me you're not tense and excited for Saturdays trip to the Reebok!
