Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with misconduct by Uefa.

The Portugal international endured a torrid time against Benfica in United's final game in the UEFA Champions League season as he was given a hostile reception due to his previous affiliation with Benfica's Lisbon rivals Sporting.

The hearing will take place next Thursday in Barcelona..verdict dished out then as well.. i'm betting a 2match ban...the same amount of time Essien got for trying to end Hamann's career. Perfect logic see?

What a joke.
And, unfortunately, it won't matter (cuz the poosible two match ban would be served next season in the early stages). I wish it mattered for this season (although that sounds weird to say) :(

I am not troll but that was a little over the top. I dunno if a ban is in hand but he was out of order there shooting the bird. Considered that they were probably saying some bad things (albiet in Portuguese that I couldn't understand if I had listened) but he is also the professional of the group.

Those fat impotent old farts at UEFA need to play in a real match and suffer abuse for 90 mins.

Ronaldo was the only Portugese player on Manchester United, and was the only player receiving horrible abuse from the crowd. Clearly, this racist incident must be reported to FIFA.
