Jose "Fredo" Mourinho, demands respect from fellow Premiership managers for somehow managing to win with the most expensive team ever assembled.

When is he gonna learn that respect is earned, not demanded? I respect him for what he did at Porto, but not so much with Chelsea. As the first post said, he's won with the most expensive team in history - something I could probably do. When he achieves something truly extraordinary, then perhaps I can forgive his arrogance.

How does he know that he is not repected exactly? In other words he actually BELIEVES all the crap that the British "papers" come out with!. Of course he is respected by other managers. I actually thought he was smart until I saw that quote...........

I agree, his stay at Porto earned him my respect, but now he is an annoying, blowhard.

Put him on SUNDERLAND and let's see what kind of manager he really is!

I might gain some enemies here, I already posted a somewhat awkward message earlier, but I think Mourinho deserves the respect. He won the Lge with Porto, then Uefa cup, then Lge(i think) plus CL the following year. He did this with a team worth problably the same as Middlebrgh. Where was Arsenal, ManU or Chelsea that year he won the CL? Ranieri had all the money in the world and did nothing. Mourinho only added Drogba and Cech to his starting lineup. Apart from Cisse, Drogba has to be the worst striker in the league (he only scores against Senderos). Cudicini is rated as the 2nd best goalie in Eng. So with the same team, as Ranieri, Mourinho is going to win back to back titles, something Wenger has never done. The cost of his players are due to Abramovich's wallet. Clubs know they can inflate the prices and Abromavich will concede and use his stolen money. Ok Robben, Duff etc are not outright starters so you can't count them. Nobody wanted Duff anyway. I never heard Fergie or Wenger chase Robben or Makele. Where was Lampard's name in the golden ball award prior to Mourinho? Joe Cole was nothing and Terry gets better and better. God, even Drogba is bagging a few. Mourinho is great, face it. If he coached in England, the cup would return home. Ok he lacks a little pc, but even the media acknowledged that it had a lot to do with his poor english. He is arrogant, but people forget Fergie, when he won 3 titles in a row and then the treble. We all wanted to shoot him and every Manu ******** around. He is 25pts above Arsenal, heck I'd be an arrogant twat too. Face it guys, he's good and it hurts, yes. Take care all. And yes I'm an Arsenal Die Hard, so writing this hurts, but I'm not a 10yr old fan and therefore can put credit where its due.

Drill me where my facts aren't 100%, but deep inside Mourinho has an argument. The only complaint I have with him and Benitez, is killing the exciting english game, but unlike Benitez, Mourinho tries to score SOMETIMES.

You must have missed the other additions that Jose made. Unknown guys like Carvalho, Robben, Ferreira, Essien, SWP, Del Horno, Maniche and role players like Tiago, Kezman, and Jarosik that are starters on other teams now. Drogba is also a much better forward than you make him out to be. 2nd worst in the league? Have you seen Sunderland's guys just to name one group of worse forwards? They also have the ability to make mistakes in the transfer market that would cripple other teams.

Jose is a fine manager but we'll never know how good he is because his team is playing with an infinite fund cheat code. It would take an idiot to not win with that money. His time with Porto deserves some respect but its clearly an inferior league so you're left with the crapshoot of his UEFA cup and CL wins. Just remember if Scholes goal wasn't wrongly disallowed then Porto would have lost against ManU and Jose would probably still be a manager in Portugal and nobody outside of football addicts would know his name. So maybe its his luck we should respect?
