Now that the league has unveiled Houston 1836, I move that "san jose" be replaced by "metro stars" in the We Hate song.
We hate Chicago
We hate the Metrostars too
We hate DC UNITED
but Columbus we love you.
Columbus
Columbus
Columbus we love you.

New Jersey fits better syllable-wise IMO

The funny part is that before we used San Jose in that song I'm pretty sure we used Tampa Bay back before they were folded. I guess that means the Metros will me the next team to be moved/folded.

In that case, we should use Kansas City, but I don't think that fits so well. Galaxy fits the scheme, but I don't know who hates them that much. I hate Cobi and Landycakes because of their personalities and such, but I don't know how much we hate the Galaxy, plus they're in the other conference.

If you don't hate Metrostars I can only ask you, "Why not?"

In general, I'm a lover not a fighter. I only have so much hate that I can physically dish out and spreading it between DCU, F*re, and Metro just spreads it out too thin to be worth hating any of them at all. It's like putting jam on just one corner of your toast... why bother at all at that point? Metro were the lesser of the 3 so by just dropping them into the "mock & dispise" category, I now have adequate hate to spread to both DCU & F*re.

I wasn't referring only to you Kaiser, just a general question.
I gotta admit, I have hated Metros much more than Chicago the past few seasons. I think that had quite a bit to do with Bob Bradley ball though. What a dick.

"the metrostars" really doesn't fit. If we want to keep the original rhythm of the song, we have 3 syllables. I'd say we chop off "stars" and have it like this:
We hate Chicago
We hate the Metro too
Do you guys mind tackling that whole Israel/Palestine thing when you're finished? Thanks.

Why do you hate the Paris underground system?
Why not change it to
We hate Metrostars too?

Because "the" takes up an extra syllable. It was "We hate San Jose too" and not "We hate the San Jose too". I can't tell from your post whether or not you realized that.
As for the Paris underground, it's pretty dirty and nasty man, plus they have those damn gates that are really hard to hop just to get down there. I prefer other systems in Europe, especially the ones that work on the "honor" system and don't require me to punch a ticket into a machine so the gate doors will admit me. It makes it very hard to catch your train if you're running late and you have to jack around with that thing.

Yeah, that works well. With all this, it just reminds me of the debate:
Is it "Crew or "the Crew", is it "MLS" or "the MLS" and so on and so forth. I think the way Placid has it works a lot better.

As a matter of interest surely it works better
We hate Chi-cago Fire
We hate Metrostars too
We hate DC Uni-ted
But Columbus we love you
I'm still trying to figure out why Metrostars even with "the" doesn't work.

Because it gives them a status they dont deserve or something.
Shame the swearing has gone, ruined all my adaptable songs.
I'd rather just try to figure out how to score with a Crewzer.

Nothing in there states they have to be female. They will all love you if you turn up and make a tit of yourself.
