Park was allegedly scheduled to play this game. Giggs is probably after his latest Injury in the Carling cup semifinal.

Geez, just done with one game and starting a new thread now? You'd think this was the Arsenal forum. ;)

But seriously, in the future, let's try to voluntarily wait until about two days before a game until starting a thread. Mainly because if we don't, they tend to get clogged full of crap that isn't related to the game. I'm hoping we can avoid that with the NSR forum, but just in general. No big deal, just prevents people who want to read about the game from having to wade through NSR stuff or more arguments over our midfield quality.

Posts about Jack Bauer being the best thing ever are always welcome though. :)

Let's hope to better our result from the last time we visited Wolverhampton.

And probably has more facial hair than Fletcher too.

If you waited 2 days to start this thread then it wouldn't go up until Thursday night EST. That's not enough time to put together an entertaining banter thread for the run-up.

I'd have to guess that Park, Richardson and Fletcher are starters for this one and with that in mind... here's my line up.

-------------------Saha
----------------Rossi
Richardson------Fletcher--------Park
----------------Pique
Evra-------Vidic-----Brown-----Bardsley
----------------Howard

Pique is definitely ready for a test against Wolves in midfield and there's no way he could be worse than O'Shea was anyway. Giving him a runout will also mean we'll know if we can use him there in the short term future.

I have a feeling Silvestre will be starting.

Wait wait wait... Wolverhampton arent that bad of a side. Remember, they did beat us, in the league when before Rio started to serve his suspension ban.

I would go for the players in Johno's line up. Maybe not Pique, but there isnt anyone available so we will have to deal with it.

For a start Smith needs to be in the line up if he's fit... Paul Ince is no joke.. he'll moida some of the lightweights we have...

well, I suppose so... but I don't want to risk him re-injuring his ankle. He wasn't fit to start the last match and he played most of it. I don't think it would be wise to play him again so soon. Especially with Fletcher damn near running on empty.

Yes, I know, Smith's fitness is a big problem..the problem we have here is that we need a strong arm in this game. This is the one game in the calender year Ince gets himself well up for. He loathes 'The manager' (as he always calls him) and always goes into games against us with that fire in his belly...on their turf with him geeing up their players...this could be a much tougher game then expected.

We need some bite in midfield imo, just one player with fangs.. lol

Didn't Smith get his 5th yellow yesterday? Thought that meant he's banned Saturday? Wrong?

I believe the Ronaldo has finished his 3 game ban. As he's been off, it'd be a good game to get him back into.

No, he misses Blackburn away.

Where is OGS these days? Is he injured again?

I think DS is correct that this game is going to be more physical than a midfiled of Fletch, Richardson, and Park can deal with. I would also throw Pique into that category.

Vidic on the other hand would be a good choice if he is fit enough, just like Smith.

Pique is going to be playing in midfield today for the reserves vs Sunderland. We could see him coming on as a sub in this position against Wolves.
