If Egypt play against the Ivory Coast like they did today, Mido will be back sooner than I thought. An Ivory Coast win over Egypt (keep in mind Egypt haven't beaten the Ivory Coast) coupled with a decisive Morocco win over Libya brings him home. I think this is a pretty likely scenario. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking...

The Ivory coast is a solid side and Egypt will have a tough time against them. Wouldn't be surprised to see Egypt eliminated... Fingers crossed!

Wait...what am I missing. Egypt lose, Morocco win...Egypt and Morocco tied on points. Egypt currently with a 4 goal advantage in goal differential.
Why would Egypt go out again?

If Egypt lose by one, the goal advantage goes to three, if they lose by two, it goes to two, etc. Then Morocco would need a big game. Okay, I admit it's not THAT likely, but it's certainly feasible.

I hope that Eygpt do win, it'd give Mido even more of an appitite and a huge confidence boost.

I don't think its that big a problem, I think Defoe and Keane can play together, we didn't beat Villa because their keeper had a blinder.

update from Egypt:
Egypt 1-1 Ivory Coast
Morocco 0-0 Lubya
Both at halftime. Ivory Coast deserve to be winning. The Egypt keeper is Sorensening them. And to top off this crappy message...Mido has a groin complaint

Egypt 3-1 Ivory Coast
Morocco 0-0 Libya
Mido is headed to the knockout stages and a matchup with either Angola or Congo. Ivory Coast headed to meet up with Cameroon unless they come back and draw. Egypt has really bossed the second half though.

Egypt through and Mido had to be subbed off because of a groin injury... That's just effing great.

Hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds and the real injury was that he pissed in his shorts, but the terminology was lost in translation.

Ivory Coast basically knocked Cameroon out of the World Cup during the qualifers.
This time i think Cameroon will get revenge.
