Is it calc, or is it like a pre-calc/trig sort of thing? I know some schools will mix courses, but usually things like derivatives and integrals don't start until actual calc.

Make sure you know your algebraic properties forwards and backwards for calc. They tried to grind it into us during pre-calc, but its not until you get to calc that you realize why. Calculus itself isn't that complicated--its the algebra that drives you crazy.

Ok, I'm angry. Why? Well for starters I tried posting last night, but there was a problem with the BS databases so it didn't post. So I had to retype it and try again... still no luck... anyway, what follows should have been posted this morning around 3am or so.
[R] 2/1 MU vs. Sh!tburn analysis below.
So this anger isn't just from me, it's also from my neighbors, directed towards me. I really wish someone coulda told me to not watch the tape of this game starting at 1am. Look I went out to the city to see my girlfriend, I got back at 1, it was the earliest I coulda watched it. Step off.
Anyway. I watched it, and pissed off my neighbors for about a good 75 minutes. I don't think I've screamed at my tv like that since I heard they were cancelling Family Guy, or to be more topical for those non-Family Guy lovers, when I heard they were having another season of American Idol. Yes I realize that the people from one caegory fit into the other as well. Shut up, I'm pissed off and tired and maybe perhaps a tad intoxicated, but it's my liver and I can do whatever I want with it!
So now i go to bed pissed off. And there's a little voice in the back of my head that says, "Better than being pissed on". Thing is, given the latter, after a shower, I could go to bed relatively happy.

BigSoccer withdrawl for an entire morning. I actually had to work. Plus, I had a brilliant, rep-worthy post that is as gone as Arsenal's chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Normally when BigSoccer goes down, its an evening or weekend. But on a weekday morning... I'm sure many businesses in the US saw productivity spikes today. :)
Not mine though... I have other sites I can waste time on.

The ********ing things I do to become an engineer. Surveying lab is a piece of bloody shite, and I don't mean in the British sense.
We have to write reports about the field work we do, but they don't explain what we need to do. They just put names down fr the data that needs filling in. WTF is the Adj Traverse or the Mean Forward Bearing of angles???

No idea, but I'm pissed off that I need to get up in just over two hours. I blame all of you (*) for ruining my sleep patterns and thus my life.

So, this isn't anger, but more like fear . . .
There were tornado warnings for my county earlier (*start strumming your banjo if you like*), and now there is crazy CRAZY rain and wind outside my window. It's calm, then tons of rain and wind for like 30 seconds, then calm.
Isn't it enough that we have 6 months of hurricane season??

I took surveying too. The key is to find someone who really understands how to run the total station and get him in your group.

or, you could just concentrate on mastering one area and have your fellow group members do the same for different stations/parts of the station and you'll be fine... but that's too much like work. In most of my classes I was the guy who did all the group work... I hated myself for it, but I hated the lazy bastards for it more but I wasn't about to not get an A though.
