Isn't codine supposed to knock you out?? I am sooooo wired on this stuff and can't sleep. :( At least my tooth doesn't hurt. Maybe I'll do some . . . work.

Codine sythisizes into morphine which is interesting. Similiar to heroin which is always good. I'm sure you all knew this though.
Did you know, however, that Marijuana and MDMA are rated ABOVE cocaine and crystal meth in the controlled substances act? THAT is ridiculous.

Don't know much about drugs; addictive drugs, even alcohol, scare me. I actually hate having to take pain medicine. I wish they'd prescribe me some medicinal marijuana or something tamer than a drug that mimics freaking heroin. :)

Yeah sadly all I got was prescription-strength ibuprofen for the pain, and another drug that I can't remember for the swelling, but only for the first 3 days. I recall my brother getting something much stronger that knocked him out for a while.

No, apparently its a downer but is supposed to give a short (five minute) rush of dopamine like cocaine does.

Oh I talked to a friend of mine who's a substance abuse counselor, and she gave me a little follow-up info I thought I share. She told me that my hyperness after taking a narcotic (which is supposed to make you relaxed and drowsy) is a sign that I'm predisposed to become addicted to it. YAY :rolleyes: So, it's tylenol pm for me tonight.
Anyway, I thought I'd let you guys know as a sort of public service announcement: beware if you take a drug and it gives you an "opposite effect". It means you're predisposed to become addicted. (That could be pseudo-science, but there it tis).
