Wednesday, United will beat Blackburn 2-1 assuring us a place in the final against Wigan.
I'm happy that once again I've predicted correctly.
I'm not happy that I didn't make any money on it.

Someone should put an [R] in the thread title.
Done.

I'll be happy for a bit. I have pretty much got my study abroad application done, and I should be able to hand it in this week. I'm also almost fully prepared for my Monday English presentation after a hard day in the library, which I'm in right now. Yayyy library. :)

Edit: This actually doesn't look like a very happy place, but it is. :D

Thanks for the luck. I'm going to need it. I may be the worst public speaker of all time. Just imagine someone that mumbles everything they say, never makes eye contact with anything but the floor, and shakes the entire time they are in front of the room and you've got me pictured.
Hmmmmmmm, what do you mean? I was in the library when I posted that, but I'm studying in my room right now while chatting on BS.

I used to get so red-faced and absent-minded during presentations (I was actually completely silent during an oral presentation my sophomore year for over a minute--I felt like I would literally die of embarrassment.) But, after doing a few oral reports, I really got used to it; now I'm a teacher and lecturer, go figure :)

Just picture them in their underwear.....
Then I would just get an erection, and I don't see how that would help the situation, though it might help me get a date...
Edit: Heh, this might scare off any potential trolls. :D

I've actually done quite a few presentations in my time, and the strange part is I think the fear has actually grown with each one. I know it is completely irrational considering nothing bad has ever happened to me during one of these, but there is always the thought in the back of my head that I'm just going to make a complete fool of myself and be laughed out of the classroom.
Damn, I completely missed that. :D Russia is the plan right now, but China is in the back of my mind. I need to make a decision on it this week though.

:p I just hope I didn't scare sapph away with that one. We're completely lacking female posters on this board anyway, especially good ones like her.

I was actually thinking that it would be a good way to distract the audience. I mean, they're definitely not gonna laugh you out of the room if they're busy checking out your goodies. :D
But, look out for your prof/TA. English instructors have a reputation for having VERY flexible office hours, if you know what I mean. (Not me personally, but I'm just saying).

Damn you Mr. toon, see what you've started.
Heh, English professors do seem to be the most flirtatious out of all the departments. Definitely wouldn't want anything to happen between me and this particular one though.

Seriously though, you'll do fine. No one's gonna care if you stumble a bit, as long as you're prepared and you have something mildly interesting to say. I guarantee you, half of your peers haven't even done the reading.

Building up my confidence by knocking my peers down. Love it. :D
The nerves are really starting to set in, and the presentation isn't until my 2:40 class. It's times like these when I wish I had one of those clown noses from the dentist.
Edit: I'm also happy because I seem to be on an absolute posting roll. I'm clogging up these boards to the point of them being muddied.
