It would still have more medals than Canada :( . Poor Canada.

All your good at up there is hockey and only 1 medal every 4 years can be won at hockey so that was obvious...:p :p

Not even once every four years, if history is anything to go by. Especially this year.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Canada didn't even send a hockey team to Turin .

I'm sorry but that is one of the dumbest facts I've ever seen.. if it was like 3rd or something ok but 19th.. jesus who the ******** comes up with this crap...

think about how many countries go to the olympics and then think about how 1 college with 17000 undergrads is better then the rest of those countries. There the only college with at least 1 summer medal winner alumini since 1911.

So I'm assuming they didn't show you the area around the campus, for fear of your tour group being held up or killed.

And of course the chick who gave it was hot, Daddy bought her a facelift for graduation.

actually there were some people who clearly had never heard about sc before, and they were like what about safety and housing where are good off campus places. I cracked up and everyone looked at me and the chick was like why dont you field this one. So I was like well on campus is the best way of getting to know usc and if you really want to go off campus go north, and south is um hard to find a nice place. lol

I think you're stretching your numbers abit.. they have 17,000 undergrads at one time but you are talking medals going back through the history of the olympics. So the actual number of citizens that country USC has is much greater...;)

I just find it weird that they have a rich person's finishing school in the middle of the ghetto. I mean, I'm sure it wasn't that way when the school opened, so why would they let the surrounding area become so bad? So the football players could feel more at home?

you guys can laugh it up, but USC is probably the greatest learning establishment on earth, and South Side L.A. isnt really bad. It just looks like it compared to USC. :p ;)

All I have to say is one word: Dynasty.

EDIT: I have one more thing to say: Any school that has to advertise "Cheryl Miller, sportscaster" as one of its most prominent alumni in a commercial is grasping at straws.

Hey, watch it with that ghetto talk! That is my home you is talking about. Granted, the area is not all that great, but it is a lot safer than, say, if you go more south to the Huntington Park areas, Watts, y'know.

In fact, the USC bubble, which is what I like to call it, is pretty safe. I can walk around the streets in the middle of the night without any trouble, until I step outside the bubble. Security is pretty good on the surrounding part, on campus, though, I'm not too sure. That is a different story. Because I grew up here, though, I don't encounter a lot of crap because a lot of the people are familiar.

Plus, USC's location makes it easier for all the 'rich person's' to buy drugs. We usually laugh when we see a random white kid who looks completely lost stumble into one of our neighborhoods looking for, hmmm, lets say, 'big Nate.' The problem is you always see these rich, uppity kids stumbling into the neighborhood looking for a little 'something'. I think they like that the surrounding area is 'tough.' It makes them feel a little tough as well. Plus, we all know how much 'rich person's' like drugs.

But, in the end, USC is trying to buy out a lot of the surrounding area. Just as Downtown LA is doing by building these great expensive lofts/condos, USC is trying to do the same. The have a proposed plan to purchase out all the homes in a 5 mile radius, and building 'housing' and more starbucks and the sort. If they succeed, I just don't know where they'll find all their drugs?

Does football make a school's academics great? If so, we might as well just start calling Vince Young a Nobel Prize candidate.
