I've got a great reason to be happy.

I'm no longer a bum. Had a 2nd interview today with Cable News Channel 3. A 5 month old TV station in Trinidad that's copped much of the talent from TV6 (Trinidad's leading TV Station) and alot of my friends from working there 5 years ago. The interview went well and the GM has asked me to join the team and they are emailing me an official offer some time before Friday.

I'm really really happy about this. I've put off looking for a job because I had a good feeling about this place and to make the situation even greater she's hinted (and I sensed she was being genuine) that I'd get a shot down the road (probably 6months is my best guess) that I'd start getting some training in being an anchor.

Initially I'll be splitting my time Reporting and Video Editing for Sports. I'm really really happy bout this.

LOL... I'm actually quite jolly in person.

wait, no I'm not. I'm friendly to people who I don't yet know. once I know you though, I'll politely or impolitely tell you to go ******** yourself for no good reason. :)

So, I guess you are staying in Trinidad indefinitely now?

Bummer. I was looking forward to meeting you sometime. And not in that "Brokeback" kinda way, more like an "Animal House" kinda way. :D

So the wife and I got rid of the kids last weekend (sent them off to the in-laws) and were looking forward to our romantic getaway at this nice resort place some friends had recommended to us. So we get there and it's a really nice place and all that but I'd say 80% of the people who where there were families with young kids. Who we were trying to get away from. We still had a great time but we everywhere we turned there were more kids and made us feel just a tad bit guilty.
Oh well.

hah! you think you've gotten rid of me that easy? never! I'm sure I'll be back stateside sometime and I'll be sure to plan any future vacations/trips around a meetup if possible. I also plan to either work at or burn down FSC on my way to becoming an overweight, black football sex symbol.

Thanks for the congrats everyone.

What are PBA cards?

Patrolmen's Benevolent Association..

Cops give out these cards to identify you as a friend or family member of an officer on the job...
