Tough match I believe. Everton is on good form right now and I don't think that we really are. Away Cup games are never easy...
I couldn't find UK TV coverage so if anyone sees it, please let me know.

very true, they are playing well at the moment. However, i think we will be ready this time around for a better FA Cup performance than last year. Expect Maniche to start and also SWP.

We have a glaring problem for this game, namely, yellow cards.
We play the bin dippers in the league after this, and we have Terry, Makelele and Lampard on 4 yellows.
Now then, what will Mourinho do?
If he plays them, and they pick up a card - which, in all probability, given that it's a cup tie and away to Everton, somebody will - they miss the next game in the league.
If he rests them and we lose, he'll get slaughtered for not caring about the FA Cup, if he plays them and we win, and lose some of them for the dippers game, he leaves us open to letting them back in with a weak shout for a title race, not to mention doing their spirits more good than we would care for.
No win situation for him as Terry may just have to play, thanks to Carvalhos red card and suspansion.
I can't see Essien being rushed back for this game, more likely the dippers game, if at all.
Also, he'll be a fool if he underestimates Everton and plays a poor team.
It'll be quite interesting to see what he has to say about it and what he actually does.

i'd rather see Terry and Lampard and Makelele all get yellows against Everton and miss the Villa game, then see them get a yellow against Villa and not play against the Scouse bastards.

they wouldn't miss that game, the ban doesn't take effect untill a week's time.

in that case, they definitely should not get yellows on Saturday.

All three need to play. This is a trophy we need to win. If any of those guys sit out I will be upset. The league, despite what some people say, is darn close to being in the bag. I think we could beat the Scousers without any combination of two of those players. Even if we lost though, we'd still be in a great position. This cup tie is more important than the Liverpool game, that's what it boils down to.

Jose will play all 3. He knows he can't get away with coasting in this one.

I think we have a midweek league game at Villa next week so the susspention would be for that game.

opps I see that the ban would not kick in in time for the villa game

Yup.
It'll be a very interesting decision.
At least, if he partners Gallas and Huth in the center, he'll have the excuse of the yellow card situation, which, in all probability, is what I expect he'll do.
I also think Diarra will get a nod for Makalele.
Lampard though, thats a tough one, could go either way on that.

My guess Diarra, Maniche, Gud in the mf, with Huth starting and Lamp and Terry on the bench if needed in the 2nd half.
When is the cut off date for the 5 yellows?

I would like to see GJ get a start as well. Our only hope of seeing Gallas/JT against Barca is GJ somehow showing form and getting back in good graces. PF got owned by the toothed one wheras GJ I thought did reasonably well and we need Gallas' speed in the middle for Barca.

End of next Month...might as well be next season
Never did understand why it was extended so long.

Well, reset probably isn't the right word.
Previous yellow cards don't go away.

Well if we get past losing a player against the bin-dippers our next 3 are boro, portsmith and wbrom.
