After having watched Boca's destruction at the hands of River the other day , I want us all to petition Pekermann to leave out Abbondanzieri from the national team from the WC 2006 squad. He made so many mistakes and one huge one that led to an easy River goal, this guy is not even worthy at the moment to be Boca's number one and yet he will go to the WC as our national team number one:eek: . I say bring in Ustari, so what if he is young, so was Canizares was he not:mad: ?? Ustari, Costanzo, and Cejas, that is my opinion of who to take between the sticks... leave Pato out we have to much riding on this Copa to have him screw it up with his antics he surely assumes is goalkeeping.:rolleyes:

I agree with you, Abbondanzieri must not be the first choice goalkeeper for the world cup, the man is a disaster area.

I hope Peker was watching that game and finally comes to his senses, I think our team despite all the injuries is still coming together fine but this guy is a liability and would screw things up, and people keep saying that e have no better?? I refuse to believe that.

If Abbondanzieri is first choice at the world cup he is going to mess up, I'm convinced about that and it could cost Argentina dearly. :(

i can not agree with you guys more on this. abbondanzieri should not be going to germany as our number 1 keeper but our number 2. Ustari maybe young and inexperianced but should get a shot. abbondanzieri's performance the other night was a disaster and a game like that come june is not what were looking for in our number 1 keeper. IMO Ustari is a better keeper. our weakest position is our keeper position and pekerman needs to address this ASAP!

I can understand that people have issues with Pato, but to call for his dismissal based on his performance during an off-season summer friendly doesn't seem rational to me.

I'd like to see Ustari get a shot, but it is a bit of a gamble to go with a young player. But lets see how our goalkeepers perform, between now and the WC, in matches that count. These summer exhibition games shouldn't be a factor in who makes the list.

exactly he is so inconsistent and fact is that for our country he has NEVER ever really performed well let alone amayzing. Imagine this summer when he has lets say two good games ... all it takes is that one stupid move in the nxt round and we could be out, I want and we need more consistency and Pato will not deliver on that.

Mariano Barbosa, he plays in Villarreal, hes better than pato and the other goalies.

Yeah but as a national coach how can you rely on someone like Barbosa to the team proud when he is not even a regular starter at Villareal and is so young ?? Peker wants experience. I think Ustari who has more games in him this season should get a chance and he is even better than Barbosa , but he too is very young.
