yes, this is embarrasing! i think Suarez is making a big mistake in not using our best guys, even in friendlies. it is probably safe to try maybe 1 or 2 new players, but he revamps an entire team and that creates a very unrealistic chance for success. it is probably learning experience for the new batch of players, but i bet a lot of them will never see action again on the NT.

gomez didn't do it enough, and now Suarez is doing it too much... why can't there be a happy middle? :rolleyes:

let's hope we will be ready for Hondurus.

I would actually say, Barcelona go rid of the bad players. These crop of youngsters if just what the team needed.

On Barcelona:

El Medio Campo y Dalentara estuvo muy bien, Soto es un gran jugador, esperemos que tengan ese nivel el resto del torneo.
La defensa sigue siendo el punto flaco, claro que aun falta ahi Fricson George, de todas formas, ni Vanegas ni Caicedo son gran cosa.
Tengo la esperanza que en Marzo venga Ivan Hurtado cuando se acabe su contrato en Qatar.

La defensa conpletamente fatal, en especial Trivino, que ojala no lo vuelvan a convocar, y Ambrossi, sigue fallando muchisimo en la marca, le dieron un baile todo el partido. Deberian jugar con Reascos por ese lado, que aunque no es zurdo ya ha jugado ahi en Liga y es mucho mejor en la marca.

En el medio estuvo regular, en el primer tiempo por lo menos.

los delanteros, bueno, la verdad que es preocupante, porque el unico que vale en la Seleccion es el TIN, el resto NADA de NADA.

there are so much better choices, and it remains an enigma to me that a player with Urrutia's qualities is being ignored! this is the biggest player who is not getting called. I know he can offer alot from the midfield, more then M.ayovi for sure. Cmon Suarez, if you got the pelotas, do the right thing, and call up Urrutia.

even Santiago Morales deserves a chance, as he had an impressive run of late with El Nacional.

These two are alot better then Fatty Caicedo and Alejandro Castillo.

As I watched this game I couldn't help but think that Suarez is a very smart coach some might say he is making a big mistake by not using our best players for what for meaningless games, listen Suarez knows who the main players are and he will use them when the time comes but what he is doing is giving all the young players an opportunity there are two positives to this first God forbid El Tin, Kaviedes, C. Tenorio or Salas (when he comes back from his injury) get injured he needs to see what young player could step in second the media like the supporters of the different clubs in Ecuador always think there striker is the best so he gives the forward from Emelec, Cuenca even that young kid Pita from some second division club (in my opinion looked good has potential). an opportunity that way when the media complains that why isn't so and so on the team when he is such a good striker he can say look I brought him to the National team but he really isn't that good. Listen it hasn't been easy on Suarez either players get sick or injured or there club teams won't release them to come play friendlies so he has to work with what he's got. Which unfortunetly isn't much

I laugh when people start to worry about our national team b/c I know that those players that played against Uganda and Barcelona are not Ecuadors true squad and if you have seen Ecuador really play we play with Garra you think Edison Mendez is going risk getting injured and miss the big show to win a friendly, hell no. Key players in Ecuador Lara, Mendez, Valencia, M. Ayovi, E. Tenorio so who's going to replace them if they get injured or lose a step and that's what Suarez is trying to find by using Castillo (which I don't care for his game) and Saritama, and Soledispa (who is in my opinion is the Nats futre defensive midfielder) but needs experience. Just relax fellow Ecuas by the way is it true that Polands coach is in Ecuador to watch the game I home Honduras beats us so he thinks it's going to be easy.

i'd hafta agree...urrutia def needs a spot on the NT tho...other than that we should stick to the formula team that got us to the WC and change ambrossi for reasco...ambrossi is good but should prolly stay on the bench...his only advantage is that he is a natural left footer while reasco can play both...ambrossi also seems to play really well when salas is in the game too...so i dunno both players should be called. with regards to the tin v. nine debate...both have their strengths and weaknesses...nine has really picked up his game and all ive been hearin out of argentina is how good he is w/ that team...and delgado is pretty solid all around...theyre both equally good players with good credentials to back up their game.

As far as the other players goes, we still need to weave out the good and the bad qualities on these new and old players. We have to be honest as possible regardless of how much we love our star players.
