The next installment in the Total War series has been revealed. God help me! The first Medieval completely ruined my social life. Now with the Rome TW engine and the ability to conquer the Americas and fight the Aztecs - I might never leave my house again once this is released, lol.

Although I really love Medieval, much more than Rome, I was hoping for something different. Maybe 1700's. Oh well I'm sure it will be great.
ps, I'm not quite sure where you got the idea that you can fight in the americas since its Europe only.

It's about 3 quarters of the way down the page -
A New All-Conquering Campaign
History in the Making
A huge campaign spanning from the years 1080-1530, that will take the player beyond the first Crusade up until the dawn of the renaissance. An extended campaign map will allow passage to South and Central America bringing the player into battle with the Aztecs.

.... Why do I suddenly have a chill running down my spine?
There is too much talk of the individual soldier in that press release. Far too much. The whole point of the TW games for me was that they were the only ones that attempted to have battles fought by bodies of men, acting as bodies of men. Personally I invariably play zoomed out so I can see what's going on (which Rome's retarded camera system didn't help), the only time I ever swoop down to the lines is when I'm absolutely sure nothing else will happen, and even then only for a second or two.
Maybe I've been burned out by a touch too much that could be termed Fantasy in Rome, but for the first time since Shogun, I'll be waiting for the reviews or the demo before buying a Total War product.
