To Reds supporters in LA,

Where is the best place to watch LFC matches
(esp. tomorrow's vs. MU)

I just moved to LA (close to Santa Monica)
I noticed some bars on Santa Monica Blvd
adverts for showing Premier League on weekends
but is there one specific place that the local
LFC supporters prefer over others to get together?

Thanks.

If you dont get any responses, then check out the soccer pub guide on foxsoccer.com and i'd just call up some of the local pubs on there and ask about supporter clubs.

The pub I like best here in LA is Fox & Hounds, which is in Studio City. It might be a bit of a drive for you if you're near Santa Monica (although during the times you'd be likely to go there there wouldn't be much traffic). Of course, yesterday I showed up there at 7:55 am only to find out that they were closed. Needless to say I was a bit upset at waking up that early on a Sunday morning, not being able to watch the game, then following it on the internet and seeing us lose. You can call their soccer hotline, where it lists all the games they'll be showing during the week: 818.763.7976. Now, to be fair, they did not say they would be playing the Liverpool-ManU game on the hotline, but I figured it was worth a shot anyway.

Normally they show every game possible. They have every soccer channel (FSC, Setanta, the PPV's, ESPN Deportes, ESPN International, ESPN Dos, ESPN International2, etc) and it's a really nice atmosphere. There's always big crowds on CL days.

I believe there are a couple nice pubs in Santa Monica as well. The ******** & Bull is supposed to be a good one. There's also a general sports bar called Barney's ************y (located on the 3rd St. promenade) that is pretty cool.

As mentioned above, if you go to the FSC pub guide it'll list most soccer pubs in your area, but those are the two that I've heard about. And the food at Fox & Hounds is great as well.

Welcome to LaLa Land. I just got out here 2 months ago and I really like it, despite all the ********-talking people do about it.

Any Liverpool fan in southen California is welcome to watch matches with me and my mates in Huntington Beach. I have a 65" TV and two kegs on tap 24/7: Newcastle and Spaten Optimator dopplebock. It may not be the pub, but at least it don't cost nothin'. Plus I always order the pay-per-views.

That's a hell of an offer! I might just have to take you up on that as I just moved here and sorely lack any LFC-supporting friends.

Cheers!

The offer's always open. Dark beer on tap and football are a fantastic combination.
