View Full Version : Music that your club uses?
wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move it. I am trying to come up with a cd of songs for my HS team to use. I want songs to play after goals, after wins, after losses that are fitting lyrically. For example, after a win play "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. There was an article about this in FourFourTwo a few years ago but I couldn't find it. So what songs would be good? What songs does your club use for such things?

To get riled up we used to use either Thunderstruck or TNT both by AC/DC

The Ajax club song from 1930 something.
My advice: don't do it. It looks so stupid.
A few years back they introduced music in Dutch stadiums and although some people like it the majority hates it. It makes no sense at all to play music after a goal or match. MO.

Well if your in an elimination game or you just want a good song to play after a regular win, play the chorus from Incubus' "Nice to Know You"

After an elimination win, use "One Step Beyond" by Madness.

Swansea used to come out to "White Riot" by The Clash, which I always liked.

If you see the latest Eddie Izzard DVD he does a nice piece about music in Baseball stadiums, where you have a presumedly trained professional organist and all he ever does is play the same "na-na-ner-na" four note tune over and over again.

And that, my friend, is reason enough to bomb the s.h.i.t. out of the USA if you ask me :D

Before every Albion match the playlist is the same starting about 15 mins before kick off
An instrumental version of 'Go West' (Bromwich Albion)
'Jump Around' by House of Pain
'The Liquidator' (****************** off Wanderers) by Harry J & the Allstars
'O Fortuna' a classical piece famous for being in the Old Spice adverts
And the main bit of 'Insommnia' by Faithless as the team come out. We don't play anything after goals, after the fans disliked it (and we score very few) and at the end of the game the full time scores are read out.
PS: Before FA Cup games we play the commentary of the winning goal from our last triumph in 1968.

Forget the rest this is the song. We've had it since the 60's despite some teams trying to claim it.
