Hmm, David Thompson also scored a debut goal. But good for Neil, if he continues that way it'll be nice having him back in the summer.

I hope he scores 20 at Wigan - he'll drive up his transfer price. Doubt that we'll ever see him back in a Liverpool kit.*

Hey who knows...this guy could become an awesome matchwinner and goalscorer...no reason why he wouldn't be playing in a L'pool kit again.

Shame really, I like local lads - and who knows, with the new UEFA rules about homegrowns coming up, we might need him for that purpose, isn't it supposed to be 8 homegrown players in the 25-man squad for european competitions?

In any case, a succesful loan spell for Neil can only be good for the club, be it in selling value or depth to the first team.

By the way Le Tellec had the winner for Sunderland yesterday as well.
