The Northern bottlenose whale the first seen in the river since record keeping started in 1913 was in the water close to London's Albert Bridge. On Friday it flailed through the murky waters of the Thames past the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, watched by hundreds of curious onlookers.

1913 was the last and now an appearance in 2006. Northern bottlenoses are definitely Arsenal supporters. :D *sigh* just looking for anything to bring humor to us today

"There is some uncertainty about what will happen to the carcass. "

Perhaps they could sell it to a Japanese restaurant to pay their parking fines? :D

Oh sh1t.I was about to post a Japanese related joke:(

Seriously you English are so well-behaved.We had a whale washed ashore several years ago and as soon as the rescuers gave up their effort, the whale was chopped up into pieces.

We're not well-behaved, just overly sentimental about animals.

If Iraqis looked like labradors we never would have supported the war. ;)

Only in England can the RSPCA come round your house and deem your house unfit for a dog to live in, confiscate the mutt, and leave you to wallow in your "not fit for a dog" abode.

Labradoodles.
