Rapids Supporter Scarf

Hey all, in another thread we were talking about a possible supporters scarf of our very own.

Help the C-Firm a little by telling us what you would like to see on a scarf or by posting some design ideas.

Do you want a custom two sided scarf like the ones that MLS makes, or would you like a simple Euro style scarf that has very little printing (possibly only on the ends) but striped all the way up and down (like the Celitic Scarf).

At this point anything can be free game, so you can get creative with it!

It could be cool to have a Class VI logo included if you guys would be down. I'm sure we could get that coperation going. I'd buy a couple for sure.

I like the soccer scarfs that are more simple. Getting the Rapids' logo on there would be nice.

I looked at the screaming eagles website and it doesn't have a good picture of the ones that they have. I like the idea of have the rapids logo involved. I would be down with getting one or two. It also helps when games are on TV as a visual of where the group is in the stadium.

I am totally down with a rapids scarf but what if your not going to be in the Class VI section.

I would personally like to see a scarf that shows our "rivalry" against FSL.

It should be for any and all Rapids supporters but should feature the specific Rapids supporters groups, IMO.

I think there will be issues with using the Rapids logo. I think non-supporters club members would feel strange buying a scarf with supporters club logos on it. I think if we put both supporters clubs' logos on it, dividing up the proceeds could get tricky. That said, I totally want a scarf though!!

Mike, I think this is an excellent idea for the first scarf.

We could at least have an accomplishment on it and it would maximize sale-ability.

Anyone handy with Paint or some other publishing software that could produce an image?

I don't think Class VI needs to raise any money since we're just a seating group. So long we we're still part of the Centennial Firm all proceeds can go to them.

Ladies and Gents, we can figure out the money details later. Let's just try to focus on what we would like to see on it.

As for right now why does it have to have either logo?

We could make two versions based on who would like to buy what. Either way it is going to prolly take advanced payment. And that is down the road. But yes, it would be cool to have a Class VI and Cent. Firm Scarf. :)

If the Firm wants to raise money we can and if Class IV wants to Raise money we can. But right now no one really needs to worry about raising anything but a drink.

The issue is that who ever makes a scarf and wants to use the official logo must also be an "official group" with the FO. After all, they won't just lend the badge and logo out to anyone. :o The Centennial Firm is in negotiations right now to possibly become that, but right now we are just trying to get as many involved as we can without being "official" and having Big Brother looming over our shoulder.

But, back on topic, how cool would it be to have a supporters scarf hanging around for the die-hards that is/was produced by the die-hards? Sure it wouldn't be "sanctioned MLS gear" but it would be like having the mock up to the official - but with more sentimental value. That is what we are trying to do right now.
This is also an effort to show the FO that we can get organized and move as a group. It would also help for them to know that we can move a little merch at the same time ;)

So put money aside for right now, let's just focus on what it would look like.

Well, how about a royal blue scarf w/black lettering outlined by white:
Black and Blue
Through and through
May only be useful for one year.

Or it could say Centennial Firm on one side and Class VI on the other.

I prefer a scarf with text simply because I already have a handmade one with black & blue stripes.

We can find the demand if it is a broad enough design.

I'll ask again, Does anyone have the capabilities to produce a mock up design and post it on here?

A few pics would help get this rolling, but remember right now we need to think that we aren't going to use the Rapids Logo, just the colors.

I contacted SportScarf about this awhile ago and we worked together on 2 different designs. I can call them and see if they still have them in their storage files. The demand can and will be filled but its getting the funds to by the scarfs in the first place that might be diffucult.
