I was reading Four Four Two last night and Theo Walcott (http://www.givemefootball.com/display.cfm?article=7695&type=1) was asked who his toughest opponent was and he said it was Spector:Charlton left-back Jonathan Spector. I played against him in a reserve team game and he gave as good as he got.Sound like Jon's doing well :) Theo's the new wonderkid of the English youth - hopefully he and Spector will have a long rivalry

I thought Spector would be a great aquisition for my fantasy football, only playing a handful of games he has racked up a staggering minus 17 points.

Great!

When did Southampton play Charlton anyway?

Must have been in the FA premier reserve league south. I think Southampton are still in it.

I look forward then to Spector continuing the long tradition of United defenders keeping Arsenal attackers in their pocket.

Do you think that Arsenal has kept Pires around in order to teach Walcott how to dive?

Possibly but Pires is probably there to teach him French.. It's to bad Vieira isn't there anymore someone needs to teach the kid how to be a snivelling little twit.... It's the Arsenal tradition after all....:D

It's said that since I've never seen Wolcott play, the first time that I see him he'll be a highly-skilled, whiny, diving baby. (Before anyone says it, I will; he'll be the Arsenal equivalent of Ronaldo.)

Spector, imho, has really received the shaft.

IMHO, he looks vastly superior to Bardsley. Not even close. Spector looks a bit faster with better technique than Bardsley. Yet Bardsley gets 1st team games at United and Spector is shipped out.

Hopefully, this will change in the future. Or maybe I'm just wrong ;).
