Ditto. At about the same age, when just starting to play the game, Toby & SMIG on local PBS Channel 2 at 10 AM Sundays really got me a lot more interested in the sport. I'd sure like to hear Toby once in a while, but I sure don't mind either Hopkins or Bretos.
Up until this last weekend, I guess Serie A would have been at the top of my wish list...was great 2 years ago, last year they didn't carry it but the Coppa Italia was an acceptable substitute. But now GolTV is up, and they cover Serie A, so that takes care of that.
Very happy with the EPL & Bundesliga coverage (like today, on more than one occasion, staying home to watch that live EPL 2 PM Monday match); nice addition this year with the eary Sat-Sun (6AM) live EPL matches. I do kind of miss Eredivisie, would rather have that instead of the SPL; having the Old Firm is great, watching Rangers & Celtic beat up on the rest of the league is not, and the Dutch League is at least competitive through mid table. I don't mind the Sunday La Liga game, but I really wish they wouldn't replay it all week long, almost every day. The French league went away after last year, thankfully...dullest league I've ever seen, on TV.
USL (A-League, PDF Final) on FSW was great last year, as well as the USOC coverage...now a possible MLS partnership-is it just me, or do the people at FSW actually listen to their subscribers, in sharp contrast to the majority?
I for one would really regret any lesser coverage of the Argentine & Brasilian leagues...these matches are always entertaining...part of the reason it was so easy for me to justify the extra $$$ to add Dish Latino to my DishNet service (other than GolTV) was that FSW Espanol covers a lot more South/Central American soccer; added bonus is that FSW Esp. carries viturally EVERY Copa Libertadores game either live or on tape delay, with a majority of the matches live...
Now if FSW or NTV America could just pick up the rights to those Russian Premier League games.... ;)
If memory serves, the Worthington Cup final has been on FSW live the last 2 years.
