I am from the Pittsburgh area and everyone I know is either a Chelsea or Man U fan. I was wondering if there are any fellow gunner supporters like me in the area. If so leave a comment.

he didn't ask if there were any pubs in Pittsburgh. he asked if anyone who posted on the boards lives in the Pittsburgh area.

Damn, Cam, if you weren't so big, I'd say you were cruisin for a bruisin!

Anyway, I'm Mike Kavanagh, but unfortunately, the only Pittsburgh Gooner I know is Jason Waldman, but he hasn't been in Pittsburgh in years. Philly and Pittsburgh are about 6 hours apart, and I don't get out there much.

Are you trying to say that not one Arsenal fan has ever stepped into Mullaney's Harp and Fiddle or Piper's Pub?

....and why would you? :D (At the risk of getting my ass handed to me by the Waldman)

When I think Gunners and the 'burgh, I think of Waldman. There is an Arsenal youth club (no official connection, of course) that plays somewhere in Pittsburgh, I'm quite sure. Perhaps the guy who runs that might be a contact...?

I'm in the North Hills 3-4 times a year, visiting the in-laws, but they indulge my fanaticism and even watch the PPV with me. You know Pittsburgh, they've no problems supporting winning teams! :D

Just learned of a rather intense and large sized Saturday night subbuteo league, out near Cranberry I think. Got to be some Gooners involved, I'd imagine.

BTW, there was a bit of a Slippery Rock vs. IUP discussion prior to the Boro match outside the Finsbury Park print shop.

You guys are in London and debating IUP vs. the Rock?!?! What a total waste of time. Everyone knows the Rock is better! :D

Anyway, Pipers Pub is the place to go, and there are some resident Gooners, though not many when compared to some other clubs. One guy there, Simon, knows David Dein personally. But that's the extent of Gooners that I really know there, though admittedly I haven't been there for a couple of years and probably won't be back for awhile (my family's moved from there and, as you can see, I'm on the opposite side of the country now).

I'm from Pittsburgh. I don't make it out to the pubs to watch any games, though. I've got two girls under three, and an optometry practice to look after.

I know, lame excuses.

Huh??? The Rock is a complete sh!tehole and everyone knows it. They finally abandonded the 1930s recently and allowed people to have a drink. Waste of land is what the place is!

Every time I'm home in Economy (outside of Pittsburgh) I stop by Piper's for Arsenal games. I've seen one or two other Gunners in attendance there, too, and they're both friends of a friend (don't remember their names.) But some of the River Hounds crew supports Arsenal, though the majority are Man U, CHelski, L'pool.

Sadly that was a hoax. I only wish there was a good sized Subbuteo league in Pittsburgh. If anyone out there is from Pittsburgh and wants to start a league, please PM me!!
