Redknapp to swoop for Fatman. It has been alleged that the canteen in Pompey needs a good clean, with much of the Christmas-do food leftover.

Rumours abound that the government may step in to prevent Reid joining Pompey saying, "There is a serious possibility that Portsmouth could slip into the sea should that twat stay down there for extended periods."
A Scientist from a University added, "We could well see subsidence that could result in England tipping up, hurling Scotland into the stratosphere."

Reid was unavailable for comment, because he had a pie in his mouth.

Am I the only one who thinks Ried is a good player?

Classic piece of journalism, Lard being the operative word of course.

Didn't Reid pour a pint of urine over some bird at the club's xmas do? I heard that somewhere, quite rated him for it. Anyway, at least a move to Pompey will free up a few seats on the bench. On the flipside, club dinners may never be the same again

I think he's a good player he's just not right for the Spurs side. His ideal position is just behind the striker and the players we've got that can play there are more suited to the Premiership than him (in terms of pace and mobility mostly).

When he finds his level and his team he'll be one of their best players (like he was at Forest, but I think he can go up a step).

If we got half what we paid for him that would be good. 2 million?

If it is on loan do you think it would be in the hope he plays OK and inflates his value.

Nope, I just think he needs a chance playing in the centre of midfield. He has the quality.

I just wish I didn't find this thread so damn funny. I'll have to substitute Reid's name for...let's say Duncan Ferguson.

There we go :D

post of the month, I would have laughed harder had I not had a pie in my mouth as well when I read it -- as it is I got pieces of crust and a meat like substance all over myself snorting and grabbing my belly...sell him back to Forest, god knows they need him.

Jol seems pretty intent on keeping him. I don't see why. He might be "wide" (insert joke here), and left footed, but its not like he's been a major piece of the success this season. And we could always, gasp!, buy a new left-footed wide player with the money we've been collecting.

I honestly can't believe that the future of the midfield looks like

REID-Jenas-Carrick-Lennon. In terms of quality, he just wouldn't fit in (insert joke here).

Even Jol is mocking Reid;

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Martin Jol has admitted that there has been offers for Michael Brown and Andy Reid. The two players have had little action this season but Martin Jol insists the players wiill not be sold.

"Yes [we've had offers for them]," he told Sky Sports News. "Because Brown is a very good midfield player.

"I think he will do well for me as well.

"I want to keep him. Michael has showed me in the last three or four games, when he came on or played from the first minute, he did well. So I would like to keep him here.

"Andy is a bit different, a wide player. I want to keep him.

"He's one of the players who needs a bit of time.

"I think he's a left-footer and I don't have a lot of left-footers so, for him, it's the same story.

"If we want to keep a player, we keep a player."

how much can Reid take being called 'wide' all the time?

And another thing, we do have another Left-footed winger Jol, you berk! But you just sent him out on loan to Wigan (Ziegler).
