Not sure if I like it yet... Some parts of it are definitely cool - like the old school ball. But they've gotten rid of my favorite motto of all time (Audere Est Facere). The newly designed cockrel is ok, I guess... I was just used to the old one.

I like it, though I also wish they kept the motto.

i, too, wish the cockerel looked a bit more the those of old. but i'll get used to it.

i have to say, i really like it. i was afraid they were going to do something quite stupid (don't ask me what), and that i'd hate it. i'm not a big fan of change when things are already fine; but this'll do.

for what it's worth, i would have loved it if they didn't even include the words 'tottenham hotspur'. the lettering's fine, and i'm not complaining, but the cockerel on the ball says it all.

damn, i love tottenham hotspur, God help me.

He looks a bit tubby but I like it!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Audere Est Facere elsewhere on the shirt (the way they have THFC on the back of the collar of some of the Kappa ones).

FYI according to the THFC site, "the badge is so strong that on the shirt version of it there will be no text".

I like it. My co-worker who is a spurs supporter is considering getting this one tattood to his arm (he is a tattoo freak)

the logo itself works really well. simple, clean, elegant all staples of spurs as a club. it doesn't rely on colors or gimmicky 3d-esque nonsense that seems to be all the rage with logo designers these days.

the only thing i'm not too fond of is the logotype seems misaligned in the image online. the T looks slightly higher than the M; it's probably just a trick of reducing and compressing for the web, but it bugs me.

miles better than the gooners recent badge redesign.

I'm trying to keep my old fashioned middle - aged grumpiness down, but I still like the old one better. This one's a bit plain to me, but maybe I'll get used to it in time. I miss the motto and a bit of tasteful color wouldn't hurt. As long as we keep playing well and stay near the top of the table, I really don't care if the badge is changed to humping monkeys and the kits are purple tank tops, though.

Now that I've read (on the Spurs site) the thoughts and process that went into the new design, I like it better. I may be thick for listening to marketing folks explanations (sort of like listening to politicians), but they sure make it sound good!

woo hoo new badge!

You know when Arsenal changed their crest to a more modern one many of the Spurs fans I know lambasted us for "selling out" and took the piss generally. Now Spurs are making a change and the response from those same fans is *MOSTLY* possitive. OK so it hasnt been revealed yet so those views may change - but the whole "double standards" of it all ammused me.

For my money thats not really a "new design" as its eerily reminisant of your 1960's design

...exactly Dave, when was Tottenham's greatest era?

If anything Tottenham wanted to capture our long gone glory days, in attempt to reinvent it in the modern era of football. In place we have a manager who understands Tottenham's history, we have a squad who with a couple of additions will make noise in the future in the league, and hopefully again in the cups. If there was any version of the badge I'd want the Cockeral standing alone like the '61 double shirt. This is the style of badge we had in the late 60's and 70's. Also just look on the East and West stands at the Lane and there is the Cockeral on a ball, hardly selling out is it?

Cool badge - very sleek. I like the fact that just the cockerel and ball will be on the jersey for 06/07. They should put the motto on both sleeves up by the shoulder, too.

I wish they'd dump K(r)appa and go back to adidas. I will not buy a Krappa jersey because I will not wear skin-tight clothing - too uncomfortable (and I'm not overweight).

Not at all. But as much as it pains me to say it Jol is doing good things with Spurs. The club, for the first time in as long as I can remember, looks like it might actually be moving forward instead of trying to live in the shadow of LONG gone glory days. And then you unveil a crest that looks decidedly old fasioned and you just have to go "eh wtf?". Still it might look different on a modern shirt design.

A shirt that will likely still have a lot of red in it :D

I'm sure Sendo will be more than happy to say it to you.

...personally I'm a traditional type, I would hate to leave WHL although that may be necessary in the near future, I hate the fact that we have red on our shirt, and red on the current badge. I think on the new shirt it will look great just a Cockeral on a ball, with no writing, to me and any Spurs fan who has supported them for more than a week, it say's Tottenham Hotspur F.C. With branding of the club it is an image that respects the tradition of the past. Of course one of our chants is "And if you know your history". So us in N17 are proud of the past honours, and some of our greatest sides have worn a similar badge, maybe some of that class can rub off on the modern side.
