He was selected in the 1st round --- 10th overall.

"He has also recently been the subject of interest by Norwegian club Tromso. He has six caps with the Canadian U-20s."

The A-League draft means nothing. It doesn't stop that player for looking for work in any other league and only protects that player from other A-League teams for a couple of weeks, then the player is free to go to any other A-League team he wants.

The A-League draft is just a publicity gimmick.
