Bruce Arena finished 8th in the annual coach of the year voting!

It is only the second time ever that an American soccer coach has ever made the top ten in the voting, the other coach was...
...Bruce Arena who in 2002 finished 6th!

Perhaps Mexico's little run in the Confederations Cup was remembered by more people world-wide than the CONCACAF qualifying hexagonal standings.

Interestingly 7 of the top 8 coach in groups C, D, and E! And the other one is Brasil.
All of the top 20 got their team in the WeltMeisterschaft!

I picked up the latest issue of Soccer America today.
Bruce Arena is on the cover and there is a good interview inside.
Also mentions that Bruce Arena is the longest serving National team soccer coach of all coaches in the World Cup this year! Good stuff.
