Charlton acquired Bent from Everton, so it looks like we will be playing against two Bents. Both of them could be a potentiallt dangerous pair up front, but i don't think our defense should have a problem. I expect SWP to play at least one half and probably it will be second half, coming on for Cole. Duff should be able to play the full 90.

The younger bent has lots of pace and the older bent too.I think this is the type of Game in which a central pairing of Gallas _Terry works best.I think Maniche will play this one

I feel SWP should come on for Duff. But hey I'm more of a Joe Cole fan.

The game is also being shown LIVE on Fox Sports Latin America. For those people in the U.S. near a bar/pub carrying this channel, there's no reason to wait until the match is old as dirt (ie. 1pm ET) to watch it.

Other than the difficulty of getting out of bed early after a Saturday night..... :p :D
I have every intention of setting my alarm for 11:45 CT and moving directly from my bed to the couch.

Well, in direct contrast to last weeks game, I see a rather comfortable victory here.
That victory however, may very well not be seen in the score line, but in terms of dominating the game, we;ll be way out in front.
I'm thinking something like 2-0 to us, with the addicks having no real chances and Cech - although I won't be in the least surprised if Mourinho pulls a keeper change in this one - never really bothered at all, save on a few crosses.

i don't know. Both Bents are pretty quick and strong and if Dicky plays in the middle, they'll give him some trouble.

This'll be the first game I'll see at the Bridge in a few years. :) Hopefully it'll go much like the last one.

I read earlier in the week that tickets were going on general sale.
65,000 seater they say?
Having a laugh I say.

I think we'll dominate in the middle from the start, limit their breaks and almost totally close them down on the wings.
An Addicks shot on goal, will be as rare as an Arsenal away win.

Yeah, I think the same thing. (Although that's not how I got tickets.) Its the high profile games that are really tough to get. Which makes sense of course.

That's awful, Chelski72. If you can go, you go. No questions asked. I'd give a lot to be able to do so.

Let me introduce you to a fella named Mel B...

I was thinking the same thing. We have trouble selling out for games like West Brom, Charlton (and that's a London derby!) so why the hell would we need a 60,000 seat stadium. I personally think the Bridge is damn underrated when it comes to great football stadiums. Hell, it's even hosted the NFL World League's London Monarchs for two years!

Yes I think it is underrated too, I never understood why England never used it whilst Wembley was/is being rebuilt. It has the highest capacity of the London grounds and is the best for spectators. Instead they have used White Heart Lane and Upton Park.
I will be at the game tomorrow, we don’t have a great record against the Addicts so I was so pleased when we thrashed them on the beach a few years back.
I still wince at the time I went over there on boxing day and we lost 4-2, and when they won with almost the last kick of the game at the Bridge a few years ago.
They will think they have a chance after the CC here the other month, but things will be different tomorrow me thinks.
We were all over them in that match except for a couple of Defensive howlers.

I remember reading that the FA had indeed contacted Chelsea as regards to playing some games at Stamford Bridge, but Bates wanted a huge payout from them, as well as the gate and TV, in the end they basically told him to sod off.

Yeah, I remember that Boxing Day match. It was not pretty and convinced us to splurge on Parker, which I always thought was a mistake. Violates one of the most important rules of buying players - never buy them because they look impressive against you.

The Herman Hreidersson goal stands out so vividly from that game. Cracking header past Cudicini. Damn that was a bad day to wake up early on the day after Christmas.
