its all about the uconn huskies this year. my prediction is a uconn-duke final with uconn taken it. and to all you tar heel bashers, just wait until next year. another top 5 recruting class coming in and with tyler hansborough being the best freshman in the country they look pretty good come next year.

Apparently there was a game last night... someone should have called USC and let them know that it was OK to show up.

Seriously though, best moment of the game came in the last two minutes when nearly all of Pauley was all on their feet and chanted ensemble "BACK TO THE GHETTO!". Awesome night, awesome win!

yeah SC is so inconsistant, theyre not having a bad year concidering who they are, and they can beet carolina and go down 20-4 against washington but then loose by just ten. Its unfortunite well I still have hope that they'll make the big one this year so when Im in Laguna in march i'll be able to watch my team pull of a upset or two  :D

Well, it was certainly a disgusting display tonight, watching the TU volunteers celebrate what should have been Florida's ascension to the #1 spot.

I have to say the young gators look really good though -- should be a nice spring for us.

Both of my teams are performing a bit below expectations.

Texas is obviously a solid squad. Unfortunately, they're not made for NCAA tourney success. You need guards that can take over a game. Gibson can occasionally, but he's wildly inconsistent and his ball handling is erm...suspect.

Paulino...is, well, Kenton Paulino.

Down low, we've got great players. Aldridge/Buckman/Tucker may be the best front court in the country. Ok, I'll just say it: they are. But in college, it's way too easy to make the front court a non-factor offensively. Even if a team can successfully use their front court, you always run into at least one team that's drastically inferior, but goes berserk from 3 point land. I'm still angry about Texas losing to Xavier two years ago that way.

Boston College, meanwhile, has (a) the same problem, in that their guard play isn't good enough and (b) is coached by a cheerleader.

duke will probably still remain #1 with loses to pitt and florida and florida is just on a high streak like boston college was last year, (you heard it here first)

Florida has lost two in a row...first to Tennessee and then to USC yesterday... :DI wasn't too worried by the Tennessee game; I mean, it came down to the wire and we totally could've won it. The USC game, however, made me physically ill. But don't get used to your gloating; we're gonna regroup and come back strong.

My team, Mississippi State, are trash this season even losing to those ********ers at Ole Miss. :( I believe we are currently on a 7 or so game losing streak.

This is coming off a Sweet Sixteen appearance last season if I remember correctly.

Maybe its because I have yet to go to a match this season.

If you think BC was just on a hot streak, you don't follow BC basketball. Which isn't a flaw - few do. For those of us who do, however, we know the truth:

we weren't hot, we had a weak early schedule.

BC doesn't really get streaky. They don't have bad streaks, they don't have good streaks. BC always plays hard, is always disorganized, and is always full of underrecruited players who look pretty good. And BC will be that way until Al Skinner leaves (which I am not advocating - he has his limitations - but if he were a great, rather than good, coach, BC wouldn't be able to keep him).

Ok, my Longhorns lost to OU tonight, away. It's not a bad loss - OU's a good team and it was on the road. OU also hit some shots from bizarro world (TWO banked 3's). And Texas, a very good shooting team from downtown, was 2 for 11, I think, when the game was in question. OU's guards were magnificent, no doubt.

Regardless, I have a question:

How did Bookout not foul out in the first 10 mins of this game? He committed a foul every time he was posted up. He didn't play any defense. He didn't even try. He fouled. They didn't call it.

I'm so angry. Their best rebounder should have been out of that game in a few minutes into that game. He put the refs in a position where they had to take the game into their hands or let OU abuse them. They bent over.

i agree with you there, I do live in Boston but dont follow BC basketball, I think I was thinking of BC in the tourney last year of more of a dissapointment then being on a hot streak
