I may be many things.....a windup merchant is not one of them.
I still think your preference is bizarre. Would your Clemson friends tar and feather you when Duke came to town?
Oh, it is definitely bizarre. But that's just how I roll... ;) Yeah I always got a lot of stick over it.
Your affinity for Duke didn't extend to soccer too, did it? ;)
Non-sequitar.....I love going up to Clemson for soccer games. Nice little stadium....good atmosphere. I even went to Tiger soccer camp as a young lad for two summers in a row. Good old I.M. Ibrahim. Whatever happened to that Ferrari driving nut? And geez, I think that practice field was the hottest freaking place in the world in late June.
No, my affinity for Duke stopped at basketball. Historic Riggs Field is awesome. I hate that I had to graduate, get a real job and move away...I never get to go back to watch any soccer there. :(

So, I take it you don't live in the greater Clemson-Seneca-Anderson-Greenville-Spartanburg metro area anymore.

I hate "Dukey V".

I hate "Dukey V".
To be fair Vitale is overly effusive with his verbal back rubs for whichever Coach is involved in the game he's covering......it's just that with Duke it seems like he's also offering up the happy finish.

It's very cool here for football games. The city revolves around the games on football saturdays. I wasn't totally into watching the games this season, so I was free to jog around the stadium area during/after the games. That was the most fun - listening to the stadium rock and chatting with tailgaters.
yeah being around a place like that even if your not into football is a great exerpience its something you dont get with professional sports in america

Heh what a shock. A SCum student (writer) who's a complete arrogant prick. Never would have expected that, I'm just stunned  !
I'll be back in a couple hours after the walking wounded Bruins thrash the mighty Trojan basketball team. I write this from Tent City outside Pauley Pavilion, where I've been all day waiting for the student section lottery. My buddies and I all got em, so now we are waiting to be let into the arena and take our places in the student section where we will rock the house tonight and cheer our guys to victory!

That's right...Temple Owls. I really thought we would be better than we are this year. We only beat Dayton tonight by 2. This sets up a HUGE A-10 clash next Wednesday night, Xavier v Temple in our house. Xavier should/could be ranked by then.
