It's French for "I need to stay in School otherwise I'll be Jarred Jeffries v2.0"

I agree that he should stay in school, but he's a MUCH better defender than Jeffries... and he's also not a Pu$$y.

That was a great win by Florida. I've got to say their defence as a team has been impressive throughout, but what was even more amazing was the composure those guys showed. You've have thought they were all seniors and juniors, VERY impressive. I don't remember seeing a final so thoroughly dominated on both ends of the court. I can't imagine what Donovan is going to do with the recruits he'll get now, he's a great coach.

ps... I called my sister in Gainesville last night, she's an alum(nus??) and she also teaches there along with her husband and naturally they were jumping up and down screaming all night long.

It's all well and good, but save for the defense, he's Jarred Jeffries. Noah needs 20lbs, and better Low Post moves.

By the way, I was just wondering, is "Noah" French for "Aboya just posterized me with his balls in my face"? Anyone who saw that freakish alley-oop knows what I'm talking about. Aboya really has tremendous hops. Tyrus who???I have to admit, that might have been the sweetest basket all night. Sorry UCLA fans; y'all had a great tournament.

I'm very happy about the result. With one exception (Georgetown, by 4) we won every game in the tournament by more than 10 points and with convincing performances. I don't think anyone can say that we didn't deserve to be there or to win the title. And, as much attention as Noah has gotten, there are so many strengths on our team. We had that kid Humphrey come off the bench in the semis and hit a bunch of 3s; Donovan started him last night and he scored 12 points (I think, at least over 10). I'd barely noticed him this season before this weekend. I think it's gotta be the coaching that pulled this team together like it is. And we haven't been this dynamic all season; it really started in the SEC tournament. I hope all of our kids stay for the next couple of years; I could get used to this.

Celebrating was fun last night too. I'm a little tired though.

UF played beautiful basketball last night. As perfect as Villanova played in 85 and UNLV did in 1990, this might have been even better.

Florida played well all tournament, the only close game was vs. Georgetown. Donovan did a good job keeping his team focused. Even with the Noah buzz picking up as Florida got to the Elite 8...keeping a team of recruited U-20s focused that they haven't won anything yet is very important...It's basically how Mason was able to beat MSU, UNC and UCONN.

I loved the strategy to beat the press. Really impressive, and very hard to stop. Although, maybe UCLA should have practiced pressing more becuase even though UF are great at beating the press, they shouldn't get 10 dunks in 1 half.

We've never pressed all year, we were really inept at it and only had one day to adjust from slow and plodding LSU to fun and gun Florida. Hardly an excuse to be so thoroughly beaten though, there is no doubt that Florida was the better team. Makes the loss a bit easier to take.

I was disappointed in Hullins/Mullins whatever his name was. No.15...

BTW, OT:

ESPN has a new commercial w/ the Crocodile Hunter in the ESPN offices talkin to an anchor while they wait for an Elevator. Then the Gators' Mascot walks out and the Croc Hunter tells the anchor to stand back..then he commences to tackle the Mascot on the floor.

Hollins... I've watched him for 4 years and he's never been a standout. In fact, last night was the true par for the course, he has vastly overacheived (about damn time) over this tournament. Freakish athlete though, was a high jump star for the UCLA track team until he decided to take up basketball exclusively two years ago. He has improved vastly under Howland, it only makes me think how good he might have been had he been exposed to Howland for more than 3 years, with two years (one redshirted) of potential learning wasted by that asshat Lavin.
