Lets have a thread for looking at other teams results and games, especially where they are applicable to us.
Starting off with Man City and ManYoo today. Citeh are 2-0 up and Evra has been subbed off for ManYoo at half time for being weak :D
Shows what a great result and performance last week was for us.

looks like the arse have squeaked past boro to take all three points.
three behind us now, with a game in hand. they should've saved one or two of those goals for when they're on the road.

I'm not happy about the Middlesboro result. Don't get me wrong, I'm no 'boro fan, but that result might be the impetus that the other team needed.

that's what all the gooners were saying after their 4-0 thrashing of pompey a few weeks ago - and a couple of days later they were shut out at villa.
they're just not strong on the road. oh, and boro are pants.

Boro' were missing players like Southgate and Boateng, their confidence can't be to high after drawing with Nuneaton so Arsenal really couldn't have played them at a better time.
Blackburn Vs Bolton tonight, will their be more red cards than goals in that game?
Crystal Palace IMO will be back in the Premiership next season, they started the season slow but now are on a good run, the won 2-1 away to Hull today.

Arsenal are rallying up their goal difference on us.
We really need to put together a run on 2 or 3 wins again.

You should have put some money down on that. 1 red card, 0 goals. 8 bookings in total!

Two terrible teams that are a disgrace to the game in London! :p

Chelsea are well away, and Liverpool and Man Utd will finish above us.
I think our nearest threats are Arsenal and Bolton.
Followed by Manchester City, Wigan.
So every week I just hope those four teams lose or draw.
Don't ask why I added colours

I can't see us catching liverpool and i the gooners are unfortunately looking good too. However, as we've still got to play Utd at home i reckon it's gonna be between us and them for 4th spot

We have an easier run-in than the Gooners do I think, although that means nothing as we are Tottenham Hotspur.

based on what? a single thrashing of a gutless 'boro side? their previous four results include a loss to wigan, a draw at home, where they were outplayed by man u, and a draw on the road to villa.
i agree completely that 4th will come down to us and them. but they just don't play with heart on the road. i wouldn't put money on it, but i'm beginning to think we have a real chance. saturday's results haven't soured me on our game, nor convinced me of arsenal's.
wouldn't bother me if bolton dropped a few more, though, too.

Err yes i do think Arsenal look quite good and yes i do think a return to form has been signalled by their thrashing of middlesbore. Henry is clearly back on form, they're buying a few good players for key positions (centre midfield and striker) and the pace of their football has increased to levels rarely seen this season. Ashley Cole will also be back soon so expect them to get better not worse. I wouldn't like to be playing them next
Btw i'm not a pessimist or trying to big up those tossers, just offering a realistic opinion

Point taken, but I assure you they are a certain Vieira short of being the Arsenal we once knew.

fair enough. and i don't mean to sound argumentative. but the arse have looked quite good on quite a few occasions this year. and it just hasn't stuck.
surely it's possible that you are right, that they could be back on track, and that now they've found their form. but i spent the entire first half of the season thinking that very thing, and it's only just recently that i've started thinking that maybe the inconsistency less of an aberration, and closer to who they really are now. that's why i countered your assertion - though admittedly, it's as much hope as it is conviction. either way, time's going to tell.

I don't really give a toss about where A*senal end up. Not bothered if we finish above or below them.
All that matters is that Tottenham finish this season stronger than the last and in at least 6th place. So far so good, was nice to see Blackburn and Bolton boring each other into a 0-0 - was anyone in the planet surprised to see that as a result when those two horrible teams played each other? Also good to see Wigan get turned over at home by West Brom, although it is irritating that they are even close to us.

well, since finishing above them could well mean a champions' league spot, and finishing below them almost guarantees it's exclusion, yes, i'm a bit concerned with where we finish relative to the arse. but that's the only reason why.
ok. fine. i'll admit it. i'd be saying the same thing if we were fighting for 12th.
but it's not like i'm obsessed about it, or anything.
i mean, c'mon! we've finished beneath them every year for over ten years, now! is it really so wrong to want to top them for once?!!
SERIOUSLY, MAN! GET OFF MY BACK!! WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH AN ASS??!!!

Blimey, that's ALL i care about.
I sit opposite a gooner at work, my neighbours are gooners, Jesus i had to stock up on Winelot Prime to stop my bleedin dog from becoming a bleedin gooner. They're all around us, bragging for the last decade or more about their superiority and our supposed past glory. I can't stand it anymore. I'd quite happily settle for 19th place just so long as the arse come last.
