I got this from the MLS Confidential;

Keeper Jeff Cassar is looking for a team after being sent home from Ipswich Town, with which he had trained and played in preseason games.
Although the article states that Dallas and Colorado are going after him, MLS wants to sign him to a contract that includes several one-year options rather then a deal for the rest of the season. He has experience, especially from playing in the EPL. Brown could learn from him. Come on management, pick him up.

I would love to see us get Jeff. He beat out Rimaldo at Miami, then got hurt. Nick and the team were playing so well when he was ready to come back- that it was a "if it ain't broke- don't fix it type of thing"- so he became the back-up. He would be, in my opinion, a good GK for this team. Since both Sommer and Brown seem to be "injury prone", it may be nice to have a healthy athletic keeper for a change.

Cassar is a quality keeper, but he's been almost as injury-prone as our two keepers.

We're salary-capped out. Contracts are guaranteed for the rest of the season (that's why Semedo was cut before Kante was signed). The roster is finalized.
