Who are you guys rooting for in the Patriots-Broncos game? I'm really pretty neutral, but i guess i'm pulling for the Donkeys more than the Patsies.

Definitely the Broncos. The Steelers match up better with them. :D

On another note, I had an interesting run-in with a guy in Ikea today (my second trip actually in an effort to fill my new apartment). I was wearing my Arsenal jacket and he was in an England shirt. To fully appreciate it, here's the full text:

Guy: Nice win today.
Me: Thanks.
Guy: You're not English?
Me: Nope. You?
Guy: Yep.
Me: From where?
Guy: Middlesborough.
(long pause, with my eyes wide)
Me: Sorry to hear that.

"Let's see here...Bratislava, capitol of Slovakia....oh, here's a fun fact....

YOU MADE OUT WITH YOUR SISTER!!!!"

Hilarious!

Ever since I started doing iTunes, I won't buy CD's, but with it unavailable there, I had to make an exception for the Eurotrip soundtrack.

HAHAHA...that's too funny.
Reminds me of my mom talking to the new neighbors and telling them she saw an older gentleman cleaning their backyard the day before. The neighbor guy tells her that no one else has been there. She then tells him that the older guy she saw was gray and balding. The neighbor then tells him, on that's me, I'm 41. The look on her face was pure horror. :D

Wow, New England really threw this game away. I like how Denver's PA system plays the Wah waah waaah sound evertime the Pats make a mistake, that cracks me up.

I also enjoyed that. I more enjoyed watching the Pats get that frustrated, "what's going on here?" look towards the end. My favorite was the announcers continually making excuses and praising the Pats, even when they were getting killed, especially showing the replay and fellatiating Ben Watson for tracking down Bailey. Sorry, but it was still a 100-yard return.

Because I'm in a gloating mood I thought I'd announce that this was probably my personal biggest sports day of all time.

Arsenal 7 - 0 Boro
(We break out of a long ass-kicking slump and kick ass like it was May 05 again)

#13 Washington 69 @ 65 #11 UCLA
(The Huskies break a 18 game losing streak at Pauley Pavilliion, and get their first win there since 1987, FYI, the dawgs bb team are my second love.. I've made it to 8 home games so far this year)

Seahawks 20 - 10 Redskins
(The Seahawks win their first playoff game since january 1985, pandemonium ensues)

so yeah, uh, yay me ;) Not a bad day for someone born in Seattle that's a UW grad who happens to have a predilection for the Arsenal.

Ok guys quick pop in to tell you that the balls were VERY frosty yesterday. Never got above 35 and the wind was blowing like crazy! I will probably get pnuemonia after all this but it was fun. We tied our 1st match 1-1 and then won the 2nd match 4-0......we play 1 match today and depending on points may advance to the finals this afternoon. Wish me luck and let's all hope that the weather is less frosty today......... ;)

Have a good day guys! :D

PS Thanks for the text updates guys. Was so nice to hear about the domination and Sean (perfect husband) taped the delay for me and I watched it this morning!

I had to call you out on this one, Mike. You've been around long enough to know the rules on naming these threads, and you've pretty much broken them all. Lets start at the beginning, "Arsenal OT". First of all its redundant, this is the Arsenal Off Topic Forum, so obviously its an OT thread. Frankly this is the kind of rookie mistake i would expect to see in one of the other clubs cheap knock off OT forums. Then comes the second part, "No Rep Whores Here!" Sorry, but that's just not good enough. What's funny about that? I'll tell you what's funny about that, the word "whore". Whore is a funny word, just reading it brings a slight smirk to my face. Whore (and Whores) is something we can work with. But it takes a bit of imagination, you can't just say whore and get a laugh, you need to shape it into some sort of double entendre or bad pun. If you had called this thread "Whores With No Rep On!" it would have gotten a grudging respect from me. But it looks like a rep whore thread, which it most certainly is not. Therefore i propose a new thread title with the Whores but minus the rep. Partially inspired by my last trip to Vegas, i give you:

"The Whores of Pirate Hooker Island!"

:D

John, I'm sorry if the humor level dipped, but this title wasn't really meant to be funny. It's more of a statement against all of the BS bs going on lately.

I agree that the word whore is inherently funny, especially when it's pronounced as it is by the guys on the Sopranos; "She was a ********in' whooooer."

everything's great in this line except for the u-dub part.
:p

great win for you guys though, even though we did choke that big lead away! romar's doing a great job up there. i can never hate lorenzo, as he was the man most responsible (other than ed o'bannon) for bringing banner 11 to pauley in 1995. one of my greatest sports memories ever.

Oh, and as a Seahawk fan since the days of Kenny Easley, it's nice to win a playoff game again. Now about those kick returners...
