dan, a good NY indie rock band called Levy is playing London on the 31st...it'll be cheap but can't remember the exact location right now. Dom and I are considering but as of now it is just tentative. they do put on a pretty good show.

No apology necessary! I don't swing that way either. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The Luminaire presents
THE RACE

+ Levy

+ Guests

- Doors 8.00, £5 advance via WeGotTickets.

It's the second appearance from Reading's The Race at The Luminaire and we're very, very happy to have them back. The Fly, NME and Rocksound have all tipped their ambitiously epic indie-rock for 2006. Take a look at this. Impressive.

Main support, all the way from New York City laydeeseangenellmen, are Levy. And big news they are in New York City, too. Levy’s debut single Rotten Love - which also happens to be the title track of the band’s debut album – seems to be a love song about hate but don’t let that make you look elsewhere. Singer James Levy - who admittedly has something of the Morrissey about him – has a unique take on the intricacies of the L word. On stage, Levy has a swagger reminiscent of Billy Bragg but his lyrical bent and intuitive bonhomie will always betray this tough-guy image. He may be only 24 years old but he already has a lot to say about love and life and how it is lived.

thanks rick....

how long does it take to get, by tooob, to Kilburn Jubilee stop from the Finsbury Park stop? ne1?

dan: I'm down for doing both...have you bought QPR tix yet? if not lets wait until we get there if there is no worry of it selling out. I'm trying to work on Levy tix as they are talking with my roomate's pub co. maybe some comps....long shot but I'll check.

EDIT: IF YOU CAN FIND THE VIDEO FOR 'On the Dance Floor' by levy, watch it. NOTE: NSFW - it's basically a porn....

That Scarlett video is awesome, i love the internet. What up with people starting threads in the OT forum? Do they just not get it?

And i'm not talking about you Mike, so don't get all bummed out. Remember your New Years Resolution! :)

I used to have an Atlantic Rhythm and Blues compilation that was awesome, there were a bunch of great Wilson Pickett songs on that. Odd that i'm actually mourning the loss of my CDs right now, i can really be a self centered bastard sometime.
