agreed. i didn't watch Season 1, watched season 2 up until the break and just can't get geared up to watch it anymore. they never give any freaking answers!

Just got home, and haven't watched it yet. Don't spoil it, but I think they had their jump the shark moment last week, but I'll stick with it for a while.

Let me get this right, it took a year and a half to reveal that the mysterious monster in the first episode is actually a cloud of smoke? :rolleyes:
I'm so glad i bailed on that show a long time ago, i just knew that the writers had no idea where it was going.

I don't know what happened tonight, but i've seen that the cloud seems to be made up of pure evil/your darkest fears, and that's just lame. It makes even less sense than the polar bears with laser beams, did they ever explain that crap? Do they ever explain anything?

wait, the Polar Bears had laser beams? i didn't watch season 1.
i've got some issues with tonight's episode, but will wait as not to spoil!

Leigh read on a message board that there is a theory the black cloud is like the nano-bugs in Michael Crichton's book prey. That would explain why it was a polar bear in one episode and different things in others. Who knows, but I still like the show.

Hey, I said it was a theory! Mix a cuba libre and chill out;) :D Have you read that book though? The nano-bugs take the form of humans and begin to learn from them. A bit far fetched I agree but who knows.

I'm not a big fan of all that nano bs. Remember 10 years ago when virtual reality was right around the corner, what happend to that? Call me a skeptic, but i'm skeptical about these things. :D

Oh, I don't think that there will be billions of nano robots running around either. It's just a theory as to what the 'black smoke' could have been. Don't forget Johnno, this is TV and not reality!:D :D

Later Cam, but i still prefer the pure evil/fear theory. Or maybe its all a dream. :rolleyes:
Edit: I just watched last weeks episode, and judging from the blackness of the smoke and the related bong hit noises, i think i can confirm that the cloud is actually made from evil resin scrapings. ;)

Like you I bailed on this early on. Too many "mysteries" with no conviction that the writers would ever find interesting resolutions.
Getting updates filtered through your cynical perspective is hilarious however - so much better than watching the damn thing! :D
