Becks is too girly. Lampard is chubby. You've got Parker and Owen, a great stadium, a great fanbase, and when the team finally wins something, it'll be a great story.

Sorry if this sounds condecending, I'm not trying to be, but being American you can't understand. Your used to huge open stadia, I prefer small compact grounds, around the 35,000-40,000 size. The atmosphere was so much better then than it is now.

Winning.....what does that mean?

Now I understand. I would make up a better story than that to tell girls though, something involving skiing and international espionage.

I was using the tortured past thing waaay before Wedding Crashers

So are you saying you wouldn't want Becks if the opportunity presented itself?

I don't go for blondes, guys with blue eyes, or men that spend more time getting ready than I do, so, no, I wouldn't take him.

God doesn't like liars. Neither does Allah. Or Buddah.

Me and God should be just fine then. Becks just doesn't do it for me. Jamie Redknapp (brown hair, hazel eyes) is much more my style.

Winning.....what does that mean?:rolleyes:I understand the preference for smaller stadia. In Houston, we finally got the Astros out of the Astrodome and into whatever they're officially calling their baseball field this year (I call it the Juice Box). Lost about 20,000 seats, but finally gained an atmosphere other than "airplane hangar" or "convention center".

With a few more pieces, like more than two strikers that can score, a better defense and a healthy midfield, this team could compete for some silverware. I'm not saying Champions League, but the FA Cup shouldn't be out of reach with some tinkering (and a new manager).

Keep the faith. The Astros still haven't won jack in their four decades of existence and love to roll over and die in the playoffs. Our former football team (the Oilers, now the Titans) left Houston and suddenly learned how to play. Our basketball team has undergone a decade of futility, and we're not improving any time soon.

1/2 Dutch 1/2 Prussian....so....I'm nearly there. About a dozen of my family fought for the Germans in WW2, all on the Prussian side.
