As long as he deprives Susan Stamberg of air time and life-giving oxygen, I'm all for it.

Obviously he's now well on the way to becoming as deranged as Bill Moyers.

There's not a conservative operative in DC worth his salt that doesn't rely on NPR for his news. Poll after poll proves that NPR listeners are the most educated about political issues. NPR's own internal polling shows that half the people think they're too conservative, and half think they're too liberal.

Think of the savings in toupee/hair transplant costs!

Yes. I'm hoping he sits on her face. I was driving peacefully along I 94 the other day and her fatuous breathless broadcast from some place in Italy made me turn my Honda Civic into a killing machine, slaying 47 opossums and a small goat.

Too bad they dropped the rep system. rep-worthy.

So you guys are saying that you're tired of hearing about her recipes for Thanksgiving?

Glad to see responses here.

I only started it to make sure I could still start threads after the change. :D

Now why do you want to ruin a perfectly good day by bringing those up?

Come to think of it, the reporter Deborah Amos is another one who irritates me. Not so much for the content of her reports, but because she reads them with this self-conscious "isn't this deeply meaningful" cadence that reminds of narrators from filmstrips I had to listen to in grade school. I keep expecting to hear a beep.
