Normally I would say don't give those greedy bastards your hard-earned money, just download the first 4 seasons from bittorrent. But trust me, those DVDs are worth every single cent you pay for them.

I'ma thinking of getting a portable audio player.. I've seen a range, and I really don't know what to get. So I'll probably get an iPod for safety, since they're probably of a good quality :D

Do you have the mini? Or nano model? Any recommendations?

I've got the mini, which was effectively replaced by the nano. But if you're getting one now, I'd really recommend the Video one. It's not much larger than my mini (though a good bit larger than the nano).

I watched both episodes of 24....and it was awesome! I've never watched any of the other 24 seasons, so I'm a little confused about some things...anyone have a quick and dirty crash course for me?

Jack worked at CTU for the most part until the end of last season. It's sort of tough to explain much more than that, because there seems to be a lot of turnover (people getting killed and such), but basically Jack saved David Palmer's life before he became president, and Tony is like Jack's right-hand man. Beyond that, well, you'd have to watch the DVDs.

What's important is that Jack is most definitely back.

...me too. I'm more of a Seinfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm sort of man. I like the dark humor in my television programs.

Currently Channel 5 covers the three main ones with shows and regular NHL, NFL and MLB games. They used to show MLS, Nascar (etc), USPGA and other random stuff, but I haven't seen any of it for a while. Sky shows lots of live games and then you can get NASN.

You Scots consider the NHL part of the big three? What about the NBA?

Hmmmm, something like that. You would have to ask the other posters. I honestly think the regular, serious posters like Sir Manc, DS, etc. asked Motterman and Achtung to get this NSR forum just to keep my clutter out of their threads. It actually works pretty well too. :D
