John McCain.

Now there's someone who seems like he could actually lead someone. Too bad winning the primaries seems to always be about money.

Lets start the thread.

Let me talk it over with the other mods first. There is the potential to open up a can of worms that no one wants to get into.

I second the idea about politics thread.

McCain is a good guy, but... his time is gone. I mean he's just too old. And his health is also a concern. I don't think he should be running for it.

Avast! Ye jackals... I can start one, but I can't guarantee we'll decide to keep it open. So it'll be tentative for now.

If you must have a politics thread, I would prefer it be "low profile". The NSR threads on here don't show up on BigSoccer Live, do they?

In any case, have the title be something other than "Bush Sucks!" or "Clinton Sucks!" or something as provocative as that, to keep from attracting unwanted visitors.

Oh, and Achtung will have to monitor it pretty closely, cause it's a headache that I don't personally fancy. :D

Done and done. My main concern was that it would become too one-sided and essentially lack any real debate. We'll see how it goes for now.

(See my household at Thanksgiving for example). I for one will respect whatever the Great Green Ones decide.

My housemates are away this weeked, so they set the DVD recorder to record Hotel Babylon. I didn't know, so it changed channel automatically and I decided to give it a chance. Very good I must say. Not that it will help any of you non-UK guys, but if anyone has a chance than it's a good watch.

Looks a bit like the NBC show Las Vegas (http://www.nbc.com/Las_Vegas/), which I've seen a few times to get my fix of eye candy.

That's a pretty good call. Having seen both the concept is fairly similar. Both great shows. :)

*Sigh* Since this is the unofficial Jack Bauer worship thread  , and I am apparently the unofficial Man United Forum award show maven, I thought you guys would like to know that your precious Keifer Sutherland won the Screen Actors Guild award for his, um, "performance" as Jack Bauer.

Revel in the mediocrity, Bauerites!!

You're damned lucky Bauer doesn't watch soccer :D

But I thought Hugh Laurie should've won.

But I thought Hugh Laurie should've won.Ok, so ANYONE else should have won--except for Alan Alda, who couldn't be bothered to show up (I hate that; it should disqualify you from winning).

You know, I've never been able to watch Hugh Laurie in House. I saw a parody of House on MadTV before I ever saw the show itself, and it was so spot-on, that I can't take Hugh Laurie seriously. I always feel like he's parodying Michael whats-his-name from MadTV.

I've seen a few interviews with Hugh Laurie and I really really like him, but the show is ruined for me. Isn't that a shame? :( He also gave one of the funniest Golden Globe acceptance speeches this year too.

thats funny, because once I watched the heraldo rivera show and I thought he reminded me of someone, and then I realized he reminded me of Darrel Hammond doing an impression of heraldo rivera.
