Well we can finally pull from the new academy...

Arthur San (414621)
RH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, respectable form, fresh
(respectable batting form, respectable bowling form)
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: Sherwood CCC
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 3,906
Wages: £437 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: competent
Bowling: competent Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: worthless

I'm happy with that considering the average standard of pre ITS pulls seems to have fallen by a lot judging by the thread on the England conference. Shame his conc and cons arent the other way around though...

Edit: he's for sale if anyones interested.

Here is Allan's latest news item:

A few weeks ago we made an announcement about changes that would be coming into effect for the start of this season, one of which was the new youth pull system that you will have already seen. A number of the other changes haven't really gone very well in testing at all, and despite our attempts to get it right, it is still not ready. So the upshot of this is that for the time being, the nets facilities will remain the same, match orders will stay the same, and the pitch condition and weather conditions will stay the same. We will continue to work on the testing so that we can introduce these to you as soon as possible. So what is being introduced still, you may ask. Well there is the new youth academy (see I can spell it right occassionally!) system that there has been a lot of discussion about. Let me take this oppotunity to answer some of the questions that have been asked about it in the conferences.

1. The youth academy condition is affected only by repairs and the general deterioration, not by the investment into ITS.

2. The ITS that you are investing into will be added into your balance at the economic update. Your investment from this week will be available from Saturday's updates.

3. You can pull a youth player as before without allocating any ITS and will still have a (very small) chance of promoting a super star.

4. You will not see the natural talent of a player before you assign ITS. You will only see the final results of the ITS and natural talent combined.

5. Once you have assigned ITS and promoted a player, the ITS will be removed from your balance.

6. Any ITS not used on the youth player this week, will carry over to the next week.

7. No-one has been able to promote a youth this week as of yet due to the players aging. You will all be able to promote a youth either later today or tomorrow.

8. There will be a hard cap of 100 ITS that you can accrue. Once you reach this level, there will be no money taken from your account, and no ITS added.

That I think covers most of it. If there are any more questions, then please feel free to come along to the next Q&A session and ask them there. The time of which will be announced soon.

The players fitness levels will from tomorrow, have an impact on their performance during matches.

The players 2 forms will now be used when calculating their form during the batting and bowling parts of their game. The old overall form will shortly be removed from the player's page.

I think thats about it. Once we get through the testing problems we will make further announcements to inform you of what changes will be implemented when.

yes we are.

does anyone have any ITS sessions to use right now?

I'm trying to figure out how many I'm going to get. I'm going to get 10 extra of the number that is in the Youth Academy table, I think. I would like a batsmen so I'm giving 12 to stamina, batting, and conc, plus i'll scatter the other ones, this to a 17 or 18 year old, and i'll see what happens.

4. You will not see the natural talent of a player before you assign ITS. You will only see the final results of the ITS and natural talent combined.
Ugh - this sucks. So I will be allocating ITS blindly in hope that the natural abilities of the player will actually warrant me giving up ITS for him.

And with that I pull this gem:

Ian Badenhorst (414864)

(respectable batting form, respectable bowling form)
An attacking player with respectable leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: DCUnited
Nationality: Australia
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 1,799
Wages: £250 p/w

Stamina: worthless Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: competent

I can't imagine loading up Batting ITS and it yielding this junk. [typical overreaction when I know nothing yet] Bring back the old system - this one sucks [/typical overreaction when I know nothing yet]

I actually pulled my best youth ever:
Jarvis Clayton (414694)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable form, fresh
(respectable batting form, respectable bowling form)
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Los Burritos
Nationality: West Indies
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 2,412
Wages: £666 p/w

Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Lucky I guess. Too bad I couldn't have pulled this guy after loading him with batting ITS, would've been a stud.
