Well its pretty unanimous we're sick as parrot with the sight of Rasiak, and with all the talk of the new striker, who realisticly do we all think we'll have come February 1st?
Personally it seems Iaquinta is the most likely now. But still would prefer Kuyt!

Why is everyone so hung up about this Iaquinta fellow? He scored 13 goals last season and is on a 4 this season (9 including the Cup).
I don't think we will buy a striker this tranfer window. Expect Kuyt to come in June before the WC hopefully.

Not sure if Iaquinta is the right player for Spurs...at least cheaper than Kuyt...rumours say we can trade away also Mendes or Paramot for this Italian...that could save some money
What about some Chelsea boy...Eidur or Carlton Cole? Loan could be better if Spurs want to buy Mido...

Well it looks like Davis, Pamarot and maybe Mendes are all off to Pompey for combined £7.5m. That's paving the way for us to bid for Theo Walcott who i think will sign for us due to our policy of giving youth a chance. He can play left wing too which is a bonus.
Still, we need a decent target man as Rasiak is very poor right now. Persojnally i wouldn't mind Jol going with Keane and Defoe, with Keane slightly begind. We can then stop playing long balls and work on breaking teams down with a decent passing game. Also, it would make keep Defoe and Keane happy. Anything other than Rasiak.
Hopefully Rasiak will be Jol's last panic buy. I reckon a loan for Bernado Corradi is definitely a possibility. Iaquinta sounds like a good player but never seen him play. I wouldn't rule out a move for Kevin Davies as he fits the mould.
Worryingly there are rumours of a swap deal involving Defoe and Cisse.
Trust the big man to get it right this time

If we can sign Theo Walcott, I promise you all that I will take my clothes off during training and play in the nude for ten minutes during the hot-season!

I saw him score a superb goal against Luton in December.

The reserves had a practice match against Luton last night. We won 6-1. Of course Barnard got his usual hat-trick :p . Davenport and Routledge played in the game.

You should keep a look out for him. The finish for his goal in the FA Cup was superb, he's got such quick feet and pace.
He can be a top player if he avoids injuries and makes the right transfer move, somewhere with a good manager and where he can keep getting games without being burnt out.

You should have given that advice to Shaun Wright-Phillips aswell.

Why don't we just use Barnard as our 4th striker? we don't have to spend anything and he deserves a chance.

....all I can say is that we need to trust in Martin.
I kept thinking the same about Kelly. I just couldn't figure out why he wasn't playing. Martin put him on, not out of choice, but because he was the only player left.
What did playing Kelly prove? That Martin Jol was right, is right and will most probably be always right when it comes to understanding a player.
The same may be true for Barnard. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors? He may be able to score a few, but may have a freak personality that harms or disrupts the camp.
I was going to say 'Who knows?', but it's abundantly obvious that Martin does.

Surely Walcott coming in would mean Defoe or Keane would leave. Because correct me if im wrong, but isnt Walcott another 'little man'?

Well if its the left wing side he plays, then I'd welcome him. I can't say I've seen him play though. But without doubt the best young prospect in England (apart from our very own Aaron Lennon ;) )

Walcott wouldn't be competition for Keane or Defoe right away. He'd probably get loaned straight back to Southampton anyway. Keane's apparently happy now and has 2 years on his contract while Defoe's is even longer. There's always a possibility that someone will come in with a mega bid for Defoe and there's plenty of rumours suggesting a swap deal involving Liverpool Cissé. Don't want that to happen of course, i'd rather chew my own legs off

Iaquina? Iaquinta? Whatever his name is. He's been very heavily linked to us.

....please watch the kid play.
It's like you saying that when Rooney signed for Manchester United, he should have been loaned back out to them.
Walcott is the next Rooney, the next England star, the next world class player to come out of Britain. Goodness me guy's, would you like me to spell it out for you also???
I understand that it may be difficult for some of you to watch the Championship as it may not be televised in some countries, so please take Messrs Mourinho, Wenger & Jol's advice on the matter.

I must be honest Posh I'm still yet to be convince he's going to be that good, the potential is there but that's about it. But he did do my team in on his 3rd ever start to be fair, won a penalty, scored a goal and got a player sent off.
