Whoopee. Playing a bunch of diving, hacking, thugs. Great idea for a pre-WC match.

arghhh would it hurt to play maybe Holand since they had some success vs Czech or maybe even one African team.

I would hope that they won't be so hell bent on a scoreless draw for a friendly, so maybe things will be a little less nasty and more open.

Look, it's another match to evaluate the MLS prospects for the Cup team.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this match.

Except that it will probably suck. Otherwise it's great.

Excellent point. I nominate you to ensure they come to Frisco in February -- should be easy . . .

So at least in some aspects they will be good prep for playing Italy.

Well, sir, This is my first post on this message board, so hi.

I'm very pumped for this match. The main reason is that I can easily go to this game. Frisco is one county over and 20 miles away from where I live. Sure, it's not Holland and Ruud van Nistelrooy, but it's still an opportunity to see the team that's going to the World Cup only a few months from now.

When I heard from the coach at my community college that it was in the works, I was pretty pumped. So now, I just need to get some money together.

goods point about this match being a last trial for the likes of marshall or gomez...

the ONLY real firendly matches worth their salt, so far, is poland and germany..

basically because that's when arena trots out the A line-up...

and then in May, we get another 3...

the rest are scrimmages more or less

Welcome to BS, home of the most passionate, cynical and sarcastic fans around. It helps to have a thick skin around here. :)

The standards and expectations in here are pretty high for our nats. We've come to expect it from the team and who we play. So, no one's too pleased about playing a team that's perceived as offering not much more than a chance to get Beasley hurt .....

That said, your enthusiasm is a breath of fresh air. We need more fans like you. See you there on the 19th!

Except that it will probably suck. Otherwise it's great. Cream them 5:0 and half of Big Soccer will be predicting the WC title.
