If I choose Frankfurt as my home base, would you recommend travelling by train out of the main rail station or out of the airport rail station?

What are the pros and cons of each?

I usually take tran from main rail station. But if I travel from Cologne to Frankfurt and use this extra speed ICE-train (1 hour from Cologne to Frankfurt), I travel out from the airport rail station. But I would recommend you the main rail station. I lived in Frankfurt and I always used only main rail station.
